Re: Routing VAC RX audio to my speakers
I think you are correct. My old UMC202 is gathering dust, it's been a long time! But you can't break anything by choosing the wrong one!

Re: When running a new install of THETIS SW the panafall display in the THETIS main window is totally BLANK
With that information we cannot tell what firmware is actually loaded into the ANAN-200D, but it appears to be Protocol 2 firmware. Were you the one who loaded the firmware? Do you have the firmware file you used to load the 200D? If so, what is the name of it? Please use this link, Method 2, to det...

Re: Routing VAC RX audio to my speakers
That should do it. Rolling the dice on Chinese/Amazon product, but we all do that :D If you have a music store, e.g. Guitar Center, near you, you could do it the old fashioned way and have them after a short car ride. Those are nice speakers, I bet the radio sounds great. Everyone should use powered...

Re: When running a new install of THETIS SW the panafall display in the THETIS main window is totally BLANK
OK, so it's just copper Ethernet wiring between the PC and the ANAN. Nice and simple. All I can offer is to continue to run and gain more experience with your current configuration and see if problems persist. Note that is could be a bad cable. This has happened before. Move just one piece of equipm...

Re: Routing VAC RX audio to my speakers
There ARE other options, but they are not as elegant, nor as simple. Option A: give up ASIO. If you give up ASIO (switch to MME or WDM) then you can set different input and output devices in Thetis VAC. Change the output to your built-in sound card and you are done. But that's a bad option because t...

What do you mean?
Other than grabbing the edges or corners of the window and resizing it there are no other options for changing the scaling of the UI. There are no options for changing text size or the size of any of the UI components (sliders, buttons, etc.)

Re: Routing VAC RX audio to my speakers
Rick, I moved this topic because it is not a Thetis question. If I read your post correctly, the monitors are connected to the PC's built in sound card and not the UMC204HD, correct? And, since they are Presonus monitors, that means they have a balanced input available, either TRS or XLR, available,...

Re: When running a new install of THETIS SW the panafall display in the THETIS main window is totally BLANK
Dick--I've explained to you that it's one problem per topic and you are now combining at least 4 problems into one topic :? 1. Blank spectral display: fixed with Windows update. 2. OC control of amp: not tested by you yet, may not be a problem. 3. Thetis quit working unexpectedly. 4. Some sort of pr...

Re: Very large Under/Overflows all of a sudden
That makes sense, Bryan, and it indicative of why best performance is obtained by matching the VAC buffer size to the ASIO buffer size. All other ASIO compatible software I've used automatically follows the ASIO device buffer size. Thetis VAC ought to do that, too, but it is not programmed that way....

Re: TCI with RF Kits RF2K amplifier
If you are using TCI or TCP/IP CAT, then the ANAN version doesn't matter. It could be an ANAN-10 and it wouldn't matter. The interface is between Thetis and the amp.

Re: Very large Under/Overflows all of a sudden
The M-Audio Air is one of those unfortunate interfaces that provides no ASIO driver control panel. The interface relies wholly on the application software to tell it what to do. AFAIK, Thetis does not send buffer size information ASIO interfaces. Therefore it is quite possible that the M-Audio buffe...

Glad to read it sorted itself out. Windows 7 is a dead OS. No longer supported. It'll be a bit of work, but ultimately you probably want to migrate to Windows 10.

Re: TCI with RF Kits RF2K amplifier
I don't think Richie is reading the forum regularly over the summer. At any rate, as is plainly evident from the post you quoted, he can't confirm anything since he apparently doesn't have an RF2K amp to test with. He is relying on anecdotal reports. There would need to be a post from an actual RF2K...

Re: TCP/IP CAT Server
@Chiron The TCI and TCP/IP control features of Thetis are not directly useful for obtaining remote control of a station. They are merely two more ways of doing what serial CAT already does. Thus your RCForb/VNC/Teamviewer combination is, currently, the one of the best setups possible, and neither TC...

You can try the suggestions at this link:
https://www.zdnet.com/article/heres-how ... 0-upgrade/
However at this point it might be worth considering a clean install of Windows 10 on a new license.

Re: PTT in with Heil FS-3
You've got two things going on that are incompatible with each other. If you are plugging that 1/8" mono connector straight into the mic input on the front then you are shorting out the PTT circuit, which when Mic is selected at "Tip", then PTT is assigned to "Ring". Thus I'...

Dick, We need more information to solve your problem. - Is the panafall blank all the time, only during TX, or only during RX? - Does the panafall work when you are using phone or CW modes (not WSJT-X)? - What Windows version are you using? - What kind of computer with what CPU? - What sort of video...

I've seen that behavior on every version of PureSignal since my first ANAN that I got back in 2014. There are clearly no major, intentional changes in 2.9.0.x versions as compared to 2.8.11. Could there be subtle, unintended issues? Certainly. The the key word is "subtle". If there were ma...

Re: Echo on audio when using "Radio Mic Boost"
Why have you discounted RFI into the microphone input? An echo on transmit is the absolute number one symptom of RFI getting into the microphone input of our radios. The latency from mic to antenna makes for a perfect echo generator (some people might call it reverb). This is almost certainly your p...

Re: Using THETIS SW to control a 200D can not control an external amplifier
Dick, There's a lot to unpack here: 1. Before you get too far you need to upgrade to the latest version of Thetis. 2.8.11 is very old. You want to install 2.9.0.6. You can get it here: https://github.com/ramdor/Thetis-2.9.0/releases/tag/v2.9.0.6 Download the x64.msi file and install. 2. In 2.9.0.6 t...
