Re: When running a new install of THETIS SW the panafall display in the THETIS main window is totally BLANK

Dick, this sounds to me like it could be RF getting into your Ethernet cable. What happens if you set the Level control in Thetis to zero to cause zero power output and then click "tune" on WSJT? Does it still fail? If not, start advancing the level control and see if there is a point that...

Some of us just like analog style meters. Maybe its and "old guy" thing. As long as there are options that include others wants and wishes including the one that has all the data that is availble with the current meter viewable simultaneously in one window, who cares? I'm very impressed wi...

Re: Dedicated Ethernet Card

Mike, you might want to check your USB cables for ground continuity from end to end. I found several of my USB cables that had multiple ohms of resistance from the ground end of one end to the other. This can certainly cause RF problems.

New fan for 7000DLE Black (and others)

All you 7000DLE Black edition owners (and maybe other colors too) out there that are now partially deaf due to listening to that J79 Turbojet (from my F-4 Phantom days) that Apache Labs humorously calls a FAN can get ready to abandon those headphones and listen to your speakers again! I finally had ...

Re: Anan100D with HM-219 Icom mic

Paul, you might want to check out this "converter" from Amazon. I use it to convert the voltage down to 5.0v on my 202HD in order to use my Heil BM-10 IC boom mic/headset that was designed to be used with Icom radios and it works fine. You just plug it into the 202HD and plug the mic (mini...

If Acom would just do a carve out for the Anan as they have done for others, it is super simple; only two different commands required: PC; Read the current "power" (drive) level and save it PC013; Set power to 13 ZZTU1; Set Tune ON PC026; Set power to 26 PC039; Set power to 39 ZZTU0; Set T...

Re: Thetis v2.8.11 - UPDATES and current issues

Note that, due to limitations in the speed of the hardware design, even if this bug is fixed it will still not be possible to achieve QSK if different antennas are used for transmit and receive. Scott, You are 100% correct. In fact, I went back and selected ANT 2 for both TX and Rx and QSK returns ...

Ron, I noticed the red outline/high swr also last night (first time I've been on CW for awhile) but it only seems to occur if Semi break-in is selected. As you mention you can stop it by adjusting the cw delay but that, as you mention, can cause other undesirable problems. I found that using QSK doe...

Re: Thetis v2.8.11 - UPDATES and current issues

Update: I think I found the culprit. QSK appears and works UNLESS I switch the Rx Ant to something other than Ant 1. As soon as I switch it from 1 to either 2 or 3, the CW Break-In goes to Semi from QSK. Switching back to Ant 1 causes it to return to QSK. Obviously, this appears to be a bug in Theti...

Rick, if you post the Kenwood commands the Acom sends to the radio, I'll be happy to input them and see if they elicit a response. If they do, I'll provide you that response from the radio if you like. I'm using a 7000DLE MkII Black.

Great work, Joe! On that laptop: if you set it to back up in an automated way, if it misses a scheduled back up because it is off, it will have at it right away the next time you turn it on and it has access to the NAS. I then tested for about an hour and didn't notice any change so I left it at 14 hex. I then changed “Network...
