Re: How much spectrum
You can set it up so that 1.536 MHz is viewable on both RX1 and RX2 for a total of a little over 3MHz. This is sufficient to effectively monitor two entire bands with the exception of 6 and 10M. Networking needs to be hardwired, the radio will not run well over Wi-Fi (it is possible, but you have to...

Re: ANAN-7000DLE MKII 100W HF & 6M Transceiver (Black Edition) Front Inputs
Make sure you study the pinouts of the mic and key connectors if you are planning to use them. They are by no means standard or obvious, especially the mic connector. Also be aware that the rear panel speaker outputs from the internal 2W speaker amp are for use with plain old, unpowered speakers and...

Re: ANAN-7000DLE MKII 100W HF & 6M Transceiver (Black Edition) Front Inputs
Both the blue and black face versions have 3.5mm jacks and the RJ45 is on the front panel. It's been this way on all ANAN models since the ANAN-10 with the exception of the 7000 and 8000 units built with the giant, silver face chassis. The reason they have all been built this way is because all of t...

Re: Thetis 2.9.0.6, ASIO, and VM Potato with WSJT-X & Map65
You can use ASIO to make a connection between Thetis and Voicemeeter, and between Voicemeeter and the Behringer, thereby significantly reducing latency for phone operations. Your approach of using the Behringer to get ASIO running properly in Voicemeeter is 100% correct. Selecting identical Voicemee...

Re: Signal looks a bit different with my Alpha 9500
This isn't comparing apples to apples necessarily, but when I two-tone and look at the Panadapter during the calibration I see something I'd not seen before (it could well be that I did see this also before, but didn't pay attention to it and attribute what I see to the Alpha  ). Also, the ski...

Mundane as it might seem but the config dialogs really need cleaning up if only to help out new users. By which I mean disabling controls that are inoperable in particular modes. For example it is not clear which audio controls work with VAC and to turn on by default sane PTT settings. Oh and why n...

Re: Xtronic XDC-4SO RF Coupler
There's probably not anything to worry about. I have one of the original, prototype Xtronic couplers that Dave was making before he went into the real business of making them commercially. At the time he said they were good for 1500W key down all day long. The 3000W PEP rating supports this assertio...

Re: ZZPA Cat Command
Exactly, Chris. Legacy command left over from the origins of PowerSDR as used with the old Flex hardware. There is some evidence that this command might return some information on attenuator (not step attenuator) settings, but the 7000 and 8000 don't have the 10 and 20dB attenuator hardware and it r...

Re: ZZPA Cat Command
Using the built-in CAT test facility of 2.9.0.6, I get back nothing from any version of this command except ZZPA; which returns ZZPA1; I believe this command is a leftover from when the original version of PowerSDR was used with the legacy Flex radios (1000, 1500, 3000, 5000). I do not believe it ha...

Yes, Bootloader will load any firmware, P1 or P2. IMHO, it is the best approach to loading firmware.

Re: 45LO problems
If there are no glitches on the audio then you can safely ignore them.
If there are glitches on the audio and you have tried all versions with no success then you have a "lemon" Orion MKII board that can't run P2.
P.S. please don't post duplicate questions in multiple topics.

Re: S Meter issue ( not fixed )
On my ANAN 7000DLE MKII (latest serial number) works great but it looses the calibration and reverts to default as soon as the Thetis v2.9.0.6 x64 (4/23/22) is closed. By default Thetis reports about 7dBm in excess, (a calibrated -73 turns into -66 dBm.). I have to run the calibration routine every...

Then your problem is probably that your specific Orion MKII in your 7000 does not close timing properly with 2.1.18. After the update ANAN 7000 MKII With P2 2.1.18 , I noticed that it sometimes freezes during reception and transmission audio. You have one of three problems: 1. Your CPU is not fast enough for P2--solution: faster CPU, or lower IF sample rate. 2. Your network is not fast enough for P2--solution: de...
