Re: Thetis v2.10.2 pre-release

Resolved via email, but after some head scratching, the VAC was turning back on, even though the profile was stored with it off, because of the 'Auto Enable' setting 'Enabled for digital modes, disable for all others'. As a side note, this setting is actually stored against the profile as well. Conf...

yes please, and send me a copy of your database.xml and ErrorLog.txt from inside C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\OpenHPSDR\Thetis-x64

Do not use DB export button, just shut Thetis down, and send me the files from the location above. Email over on qrz.

Re: Thetis v2.10.2 pre-release

@I2NOY S-untis are shifted by 20db when >= 30MHz so -93dBm will show S9.I have just made some changes to MultiMeters so when they are zeroed they always bottom out at S0 when power is off, ie -153dBm when >= 30MHz. Previously they were getting set to -133dBm irrespective of frequency above/bellow 30...

yeah, line of code entirely missing to put them back, it was either a CTRL-Z moment, or lack of sleep, or both ;)

Re: Thetis v2.10.2 pre-release

@don, was this from a fresh start into collapsed? and then you went to expanded? what was the order of things for it to happen? and did you use the checkbox at all in setup to turn them off? EDIT: yes replicated, for now, just tick on the box in setup form under setup->appearance->Use legacy meters

@George, thanks for that :) There has been very minimal CW testing with all the rit/xit/split changes, and it looks like this one slipped through. Fixed now though. I will update the msi installer package later/tomorrow and msg here when done. Cheers.

Re: Thetis v2.10.2 pre-release

With regards to the orange box that appears in setup if a TX profile related setting has been changed and the profile has not been saved. In the final release of 2.10.2 you will be able to click that orange box to get a report of what has been changed.

I will let this pre-release run until next week sometime and replace with a final. I think this has generally b...

Re: Thetis v2.10.2 pre-release

@james, the flashing red and/or yellow blocks in the top left of the spectral area signify two things : red: The last frame was not able to render in time to maintain the required fps. The odd flicker is fine, but if it is on more than off, then you need to reduce the fps, or turn off things like fi...

Re: Thetis starting with standard frequency

Hey all, I have read through this thread and tried to replicate the issue regarding last used frequency etc when restarting Thetis or moving to a new band(stack) and then back again. I am unable to replicate it at all, and have checked the code related to it but have not seen anything obvious. It co...

Sorry for the delayed reply chaps. There is a button in the setupform->General, called 'Firewall Check'. When thetis is run as admin and this button is clicked it removes all firewall rules related to Thetis.exe and re-adds them back in. I have just added the Private profile as well, which now mimic...

Re: Band and Frequency change

The transverter bandstacks do not have default entries, and the default setting is to return to last used. Consequently it will always return you to start of band when you peform a band change if you have no updatable stack entries. Depending on config you can have it update an entry, return to a fi...

I wont be personally fixing them in the short term unless a game breaker. Scott will be locking this thread at some poi...

Re: Thetis v2.9.0.8 - meters and then some more

Using the import function in the settings window will not pull in PA or MultiMeter config to the database that is currently in use. I will need to add some sort of popup that asks if you want to replace/ignore as importing or 'adding/appending' these settings to what is already there is not somethin...

Re: display flicker

there are some gpu threading changes in test release versions of 2.9.0.8 that a few people are testing. This has fixed some flickering in meters that had been observed (not happening in the main spectrum area). This will be out for testing next week sometime when I have looked at the export/import d...

Re: Thetis v2.9.0.8 - meters and then some more

Where do these meter configs get saved? I just did a db reset and then imported my last good one and the meters containers did not get imported. And not sure if this is related but the import did not bring back the PA profile settings either. Import not implemented yet. Will sort that out next week...

Erik, as long as they are enabled (right click them in spectrum to check), and you have the global on/off 'switch' turned on by selecting the MNF button down the bottom of the screen then not sure why it is not working.

Re: Thetis v2.9.0.8 - meters and then some more

I think it is something to do with the 'hooking' of directX so that external software can use overlays and the like to show cpu/gpu/temps etc or to grab the contents for recording etc. I guess some are better implemented than others. All overlay stuff is working fine here with game ready driver vers...

Note that I am not using any of the old fashioned analog meter representations, only the standard meters. Indeed, the problems start just creating an empty container. Cheers! I'll be around tomorrow to look into this. May have to take you up on the offer Scott to remote in and check what is happening. In the mean time one thing to try is clear the directX shader cache. Cleanup tool will let you do this (make sure Thetis not running and ensure no lingering in taskmanager)...

Re: Thetis v2.9.0.8 - meters and then some more

@scott, if you have been using other versions, can you try with a fresh db? probably wont help, but just a stab in dark atm. In about an hour I am away from here, so will have to wait until next week to track this resizing issue down.
