Re: Power Supply for 8000DLE
Note that there have been some power supply issues when the 8000 is under transmit load, particularly with certain modulation types. See this forum thread ( https://apache-labs.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=2377#p2546 ) for details. Let's keep power supply discussions in this sub-forum, pl...

Re: External feedback level calculations
Yeah, that's very strange, Chris. If you are at 1500W, with a 44dB coupling factor and a 9dB attenuator, I would expect to see an S-ATT of 26dB, not 9. A difference of 17dB doesn't seem to correlate with any obvious scaling problems, unless it's a factor of three! I'm running 3.3.15 with Angelia 5.8...

External feedback level calculations
UPDATED 25 MAY 2018 There are three things to consider when configuring an external coupler and/or external attenuators to obtain a proper feedback level at the rear panel connector of the radio: 1. When using Puresignal, the Auto-Attenuate function drives the step attenuator to the setting necessa...

Re: 200D RX2 ADC Overload
Erwin, The only way to determine your board version is to either open the radio and look (although I'm not certain the boards are revision marked) or to determine it based on it's behavior. If you use Bypass for external PureSignal feedback it is a Rev. 24 board. If you use Ext 1 for external PureSi...

The "new protocol", aka Protocol 2, is a complete re-spin of the original firmware, with a new and substantially improved interface specification. You can find the specification well documented. It implements Gigabit Ethernet (only--no support for 100BASE-T at all at the radio Ethernet con...

Re: New current protocol (Protocol 1) firmware for ANAN-200D version 4.8 released
Joe, At the risk of stating the obvious, the reason it is working for Phil and not you is because the timing is not being met across the entire population of radio hardware. As the firmware is becoming more and more complex, it would appear that the timing model in the version of Quartus that is bei...

Re: LCD Fault
Simon, I have not looked at the code, and don't have an 8000, but from the reports of others it would appear that the LCD microprocessor is responsible for detecting faults associated with overcurrent, overvoltage and VSWR coming from the 50V amplifier board, and that any such fault requires the ope...

The 100B is the 100W version of the 10E. Both use the Hermes 14-bit card.

There's no guarantee that protocol 2 and Thetis will work properly regardless of the LCD firmware revision. Unfortunately I can't guide you on what the 8000 LCD shou...

Barry, Non-coherent diversity basically is any method that causes one to choose between two (or more) signal sources based on some metric of signal quality, usually which one is the strongest.
