Re: Thetis v2.8.11 - current issues
Hi Richie, The 21i version is working very well here. The VAC resampler graph settles down after an initial up-down oscillation at first startup and sits right at 0.000180 "OUT" and 0.000183 "IN" from that point on. I guess that's an indication that the resampler is stable with m...

Re: Thetis 2.8.11-21+++ VAC advanced controls: results and discussion
After reading through the thread I scrapped my old settings and went with what is in the screenshot below. If I drop below a value of 10ms in the ring buffer fields the underflows and overflows start to accumulate but it is rock solid at 10ms. Today I have been running Thetis for over 9 hours withou...

Re: New 200D Orion Protocol 2 Firmware Topic
Hi Rick, A quick update on v1.9.16 with my edge case Orion board: Thetis could not find the radio and the radio would not return a ping from a command prompt. Looks like my FPGA has trouble with communication through the ethernet port with v1.9.16. Bootloader discovered the MAC address instantly, as...

Re: New 200D Orion Protocol 2 Firmware Topic
Rick, Looks like we have the same budget spectrum analyzer. I checked my 200D running Thetis v21g with v1.9.15 P2 firmware loaded and as can be seen in the screenshots below it looks very clean with a carrier and also with the 2 tone test using Pure Signal. During both sweeps below the ANAN was runn...

Re: New 200D Orion Protocol 2 Firmware Topic
Hi Phil, Sorry you are having issues now with your 200D and protocol 2. It's very strange that the previously working P2 versions are now giving you issues that were not there before and my thought is that it strongly suggests that something other than the firmware itself is causing the issue since ...

Re: New 200D Orion Protocol 2 Firmware Topic
This is great news. I have two other positive reports on the Orion, so that makes 3 positive and one negative. We need more testers for both Orion and Angelia! Scott, you can add my cantankerous ANAN 200D to the happy list. Pure Signal engages perfectly from 160-6 meters with no thermal issues from...

Re: Thetis 2_8_11 changes/ideas/wants/wishes
I would love to see the implementation of an analog-type meter such as the one that is available in the Genesis SDR variant of PowerSDR. The user can supply his own JPG for the meter allowing for all kinds of customization. In the GSDR software you can use it with collapsed mode or expanded mode. Mi...

Re: Thetis v2.8.11 - current issues
Version 21f is working smoothly here Richie. Lots to like with this update but for sure the addition of the gain multiplier in the diversity form is a real bonus here. Nice also that re-sizing the Diversity form no longer corrupts the display of the phasing control. Also, since I am a VAC user for m...

Re: Anan 100 RJ45 Jack
Hi Ken, I think Scott is right that the first thing to try is to re-flow the solder on the pins of that RJ45 jack. As someone who took his ANAN-100 apart multiple times I can tell you that it is not terribly difficult. Barry - N1EU did a great job of giving step-by-step instructions if you have not ...

Re: Thetis v2.8.11 - current issues
Well Rob, I even had to get my brother involved in this as he has looked at such oddities over the years. It is related to the drop shadow of the form. Short story is that we now calculate the size of the shadow using DwmGetWindowAttribute and some jiggery-pokery related to operating system version...

Re: Thetis v2.8.11 - current issues
Hi Richie, I still have the earlier 2.8.11 64-bit version installed and when compared on the desktop to the new 32-bit version (both opened up but not running) the difference in the GUI size with the same resolution setting was easily seen. I confirmed with my screen capture software that something ...

Re: Thetis v2.8.11 - current issues
Hi Richie, The only anomaly that I noticed today with the new version is that the resolution scaling does not seem to be accurate when using the presets down in the lower left corner of the status bar. As an example, to make the GUI display as 1280 x 720 the setting in the status bar needs to be set...

Re: 7000dle mkII - low output power
Hi Richie, I would agree with what Don mentioned above in the thread. This can be an indication of a filter that is not optimized for a particular band, or it could possibly be damaged. One pretty good tell is to look at the total current draw from the power supply when a band that can produce rated...

Is it possible you have the windows display font setting changed to something other than the default? As I recall this will cause a fatal error that brings up a string of console errors when you launch PSDR or Thetis.

Welcome back! Your best course would be to move to Thetis v2.8.11 which is the latest release. It's light-years ahead of the last PowerSDR mRX PS release which appears to be at end-of-life as far as any further development goes. Thetis version 2.8.11 will work with either protocol 1 or protocol 2 an...

Yep, just as Gary said, export a copy of your database save it as a backup in case you mess something up. Open your database.xml with notepad. Edit the entries in the Bandtext section as you wish and save it. Then copy and paste the entire Bandtext section of your database into a separate text file ...

Hi Mark, With the CFC voice processing suite in Thetis it's possible to take a very inexpensive mic and produce beautiful broadcast-quality audio or beastly DX audio without much fuss. When I am in the mood for simplicity I plug a Behringer XM-8500 dynamic that I bought on Amazon for 20 bucks into t...

Another skin release from Jeff - W2NBC. This one is my favorite. The menu items, buttons, sliders and grouped controls pop right out clearly. Notice the lighting effects in the Panadapter display as well as along the edges of the control panels. This one is a piece of art! You can download the W2NBC...
