Yes, a simple FTDI USB to RS232 adapter on the PC and a null to cross 2 and 3. Then take whatever that adapter's COM port is and select that in one of Thetis CATs.

Which serial port are you plugging into on the KPA500??

This combo works great, I use it here. KPA500 - Thetis interface is Kenwood. Turn Serial Poll on the KPA, and turn off AI on the Thetis CAT settings.

What issues are you having?

Rob, it does not work for me either, but not sure what it would even show me that would help improve the audio over what it is now.

It's missing the ext fan connector so must be Apache

Are there any particular settings needed to be checked for the footswitch to work? Did you happen try the front Mic PTT and did that work? Under General > Options > Options-1 is "Disable PTT" unchecked? I exclusively use a footswitch via the rear PTT In RCA jack and it works fine.

I think Scott made a wish list item to have Macros on the GUI so you can do what ever you want. I use a StreamDeck and I have a Split button that does all that via CAT commands, set Split, turn on MultiRX, set 2nd freq up 5KHz, etc. Works pretty slick.

I can't find the post right off but I did add a note about the command switch to do direct Thetis to different radios. Never had a chance to try, the syntax was:

Didn't want to post this in the "Thetis v2.8.11 - current issues" post. With "Auto AGC" we can now display the SNR with each Peak Blob. Is it possible to have the SNR calculated over the whole passband? This is so much more useful that just plain old signal strength.

Erwin, yes those in addition.

Mark, that only disables the PTT in line on the Mic connector. TUN and MOX and 2TON still drive the RCA jack if this is checked.

Best bet is to use the new OC pins feature.

I agree Rob that this is cool. Still playing around as to what is the best dB Offset.

Had to change some sliders around so that I could tell when it is engaged.

Ernst, that is what I told him in my first reply that you need to use the OC Pins for your PTT to make this happen.

Guenter, what version of 2.8.11 are you using?

What you are asking for is supported and works great to not key the amp when in TUN.
