Re: Controller V2
1. What are the connections at the top of the controller for? They don't get a mention in the User Manual. I think one of them is a mini-HDMI connector, HDMI enables you to drive an external LCD display monitor, if so desired, in addition to the touch screen display. This option was not covered in ...

Re: ADC1 Overload
You don't have to check anything. What I meant was there are a few 7000's out there, say 1 out of every 1000, that just don't play well with P2. Don't worry about it until you have to worry about it

Re: ADC1 Overload
Q1: I am just puzzled by the fact that this ADC1 overload issue came up only now, after about 1 week's worth of using Thetis v2.9.0.6 x64/P1? I have no explanation for this other than perhaps the ATTEN on Tx or Bypass on TX settings were changed somehow during the upgrade. Q2: Are 50 ohm plug termi...

Re: ADC1 Overload
Short answer: enable ATT on Tx with a value sufficient to stop the overload indication. This must be set on a band-by-band basis (values are saved separately for each band). Be aware that if you use PureSignal with Auto-Attenuate enabled this value may be changed on you and for certain operational c...

Re: The change in "Out of Band" color doesn/t work
That is the "Zero Line".
You also have TX FL turned on, which is "TX Filter".
If you don't find the labeling at all intuitive it's trivially easy to just try changing colors on different things. The changes are live and happen as you make them so it's easy to see.

Re: The change in "Out of Band" color doesn/t work
If you mean the shaded area that represents the RX passband, that is the "Main RX Filter", and that color can be adjusted on the Appearance > RX Display tab.

Re: The change in "Out of Band" color doesn/t work
Maybe what "gives" is that you aren't looking in the right place. "Band data" is the box below the VFO frequency display that shows what band/sub-band the VFO is tuned to. The default of "out of band" is gray. When the VFO is moved out of band, the band data box turns g...

Re: pure signal not working right 2.9.06
I looked at your QRZ page, so now I see it's a 7000 and it's 200ft from the amp. Since you are using VAC you should just move the ANAN to be next to the amp and do away with all of the coaxial cable and other complexities. My entire station is in the basement but is controlled from my second floor s...

Re: pure signal not working right 2.9.06
PureSignal is working fine in 2.9.0.6 for a great many people, so it is certainly possible for you as well. What model ANAN are you using? Two-tone testing is a good place to start debugging this because it sidesteps some of the complexity of a voice signal. Make sure that in Setup > Tests that Two ...

How do I set up the monitor function, so that I can hear myself talk? Anan 100 and v2controller. How do I adjust the microphone gain? davidschoenwald@gmail.com AFAIK there is no monitor function in piHPSDR. It would not be usable anyway since there is far too much latency in the SDR design, i.e. yo...

Re: Thetis 2.9.0.x not seeing Touch events on Andromeda
That's great stuff, Sigi. And, when you think about it, simple. Touchscreens produce essentially the same messages into the system as mice. Cursor position and left mouse button down/up, which are then passed to all applications including Thetis. This is most likely not a Thetis problem at all and t...

Palstar needs to check it's math. The peaks are at -105, which is approx. S4. Those are big signals!
Re: Data Fill
Try moving the slider immediately to the right of the fill color selector box. That is the "alpha", or transparency, setting. If a slider is all the way to the left you will not see anything displayed, all the way to the right makes the color solid.

Re: Cat Setup in Thetis
MMSSTV is wicked old. It is likely that it can't deal with COM ports with double digit port numbers. Try setting up a port pair where one port is something like COM7 and assign that single digit port to MMSSTV.

Living in a noisy environment I know that NB2 depending on the surrounding signals can also show the same or similar behavior. And from what I see in your video you had NB2 on. Regards Mike SV1JSO This doesn't appear to be the case here. I'm not sure what Ruben was seeing, but I cannot duplicate an...

That's the problem with over 40 setup pages that are not all 100% logically organized
Go to Setup > Display > General and look in the Multimeter section for "Signal History".

I've merged these two topics and made the title a bit more descriptive.
This is some very strange behavior. I wonder if anyone else is seeing this? I looked for it myself and I don't see that behavior here (ANAN-8000 into dummy load).

Paul I do plan to make the changes per your info. I am portable in NM using an Elecraft K3 as the rig. Spoiled by its soundless keying. No idea why Apache labs didn't go the pin diode route. Re: Problem loading firmware on 7000
I agree, it's an overly complex system and can be confusing. This is why I now recommend Bootloader as the single method: it is universal and requires the user to learn only one tool and one procedure. It would be great to see the functionality of both programmer versions simplified, automated, and ...

I recommend you leave the Orion MKII board alone and instead cut and jumper the so-called rear panel "spreadout board" (what most would call a breakout board), which is the board that holds the six phono, two speaker and one DE9 connectors on the rear panel. That board has a header connect...

Re: Recording Thetis while using CW Skimmer
CW Skimmer can use straight audio, although the bandwidth is more limited. So you could switch to regular audio, then split the audio using Voicemeeter or VB Cable into both CW Skimmer and Bandicam. Another alternative would be to set both RX1 and RX2 to ADC0, turn on VFO sync, then use the VAC2 out...
