My "wish" from the chat last night, integrated JSON so you can use the Streamdeck for an enhanced user interface, much like you can do with Flex and FRStacks.

Re: Thetis v2.8.11 - current issues
Also, one could ask why do we have panafall / panadapter and waterfall modes? If the splitter is moved right to the top, it is waterfall, if it is moved right to the bottom it becomes panadapter, somewhere in between it is panafall. That would be the ultimate in versatility, and be more streamlined...

Re: Thetis v2.8.11 - current issues
Ritchie, back a few versions you added a method to infinitely adjust the split between the Pan section and the Waterfall section of Panafall for RX1. Can that feature be extended to when RX2 is enabled? Besides it not working on the second Panafall, when RX2 is enabled it reverts the RX1 Panafall ba...

Re: Thetis to KPA500 band data
I connect to the RS232 XCVR port on the KPA500. KPA500 settings > Radio = Serial RS232 X = Baud Rate that Thetis CAT is set to Serial Poll = ON (although if you choose to use "Allow Kenwood AI Commands" in Thetis then this gets set to Off In Thetis your CAT3 Control is set to the Comm port...

In my setup I do not use the RS232 PC port on the KPA500 (which KPA Util uses), but rather the RS232 XCVRm which requires the crossover cable.

On the RS232 connector a cross over switched pin 2 to 3 and 3 to 2.
I made my own adapter.

Re: Thetis to KPA500 band data
I run my 7000DLE and Thetis with the KPA500/KAT500 combo with full band tracking without any middleware. You will need a USB to DB9 serial adapter and you will need to make a crossover, if you want the KAT500 to auto track to you will need to make a Y. Under Thetis setup, under CAT select one of the...
Re: RX2
Guess it all depends on your perspective, I prefer to keep the BPF's on and have a fully independent second receiver for diversity, some really cool and nice features that lead me to the 7000.
Re: RX2
Therefore, using the RX2 port does not seem practical unless I was using a receive only antenna, correct? That is the much preferred method if you want to take advantage of the 7000 and Thetis. But as Mike noted you can move it al over to 1 ADC, but you'd throw away 1/2 the radio and have limitatio...

Re: Fatal Error Message.
If you cant recover you can simply delete your database and launch again. Of course it will be the default database and you can try to import the most recent DB you exported. Or simply rebuild by hand using your settings you annotated.

Once I have mine set I just keep the modified band info in a text file that I can simply cut and paste if I ever have to reset the DB.

Re: RX Level Calibration
The out of the box performance is extremely good I have to agree, I am using a Rhode & Schwarz sig gen and my 7000 is within 1dB with a default DB. So if you do not have a highly accurate source I would not worry about it. Now a freq cal is another matter, but all you need is to be able to hear...

Re: RX Level Calibration
I looked in the Thetis 1.1 Manual and there is a reference to Level Cal but not sure if that is what it is referring to and also points to a signal generator also and I'm guessing, injecting say a 1 kHZ signal into the antenna port for calibration. It's covered elsewhere in the forum I believe, but...

Re: Your Setup/DSP/Options settings?
I find that a filter size of 8192 sounds very harsh when both stations are running RX/TX BW in the 3-4KHz range, and there are still some artifacts at 4096. But at 2048 it is very smooth. YMMV.

Do you have a 7000DEL now? It's easy to play with this using Task Manager and looking at Ethernet Performance.
Sample rate by far is the biggest item that changes it, this is what I see:
1 RX 192KHz 10.6Mbps
2 RX 192KHz 20.4Mbps
1 RX 1536KHz 77.1Mbps
1 RX 1536KHz 155Mbps
