Re: ANAN-8000 & PowerSDR - some notes, some questions
Come on guys - don´t be shy......................I cannot imagine that nobody out there is (still) using PowerSDR and could or could not confirm the mentioned issues.

ANAN-8000 & PowerSDR - some notes, some questions
After a few months using the ANAN-8000 DLE I found some issues which I hope can be confirmed or even better explained by other users. The current setup in use: ANAN-8000 DLE Firmware Ver. 2.3 OpenHPSDR mRX PS v3.4.9 Dedicated industrial PC i5 with SSD ------------------------------------------------...

Re: MNF - Multi Tracking Notch-Filter
I am not using an ANAN-100 or an ANAN-7000 however it seems to be related to the HPSDR software anyway - the one in use here is mRX PS v3.4.9 Before I got my ANAN an ANAN user told me that the MNF function does not work. Until a few days I kind of had this accepted but curiosity made me look and try...

Re: ANAN 7000/8000 and MMTTY
Hi Scott, thanks for your detailed reply. I am not focused on MMTTY but it was recommended by one of our local RTTY contesters. FLDigi was something I stumbled across as well and as you suggest it it may be the better choice. It also seems that it is updated in short intervals so it definitely is up...

Re: ANAN 7000/8000 - CAT interfaces and SO2R capability?
Thanks for the reply. That is exactly all the information that is needed to base a decision upon. I will forward that. To me it seems that SO2R & remote control capability are the most important things to contesters because this is where all their questions turn around. So I am pretty sure that ...

Re: ANAN 7000/8000 and MMTTY
I am not familiar with setting up VAC however read the tutorial (don´t remember whether it was SDRzone or somewhere else) and also have the kind support of people who are familiar with setting up computers (although no hams). Me personally I am starting at the basement level................ So from ...

ANAN 7000/8000 and MMTTY
Does somebody run this combination (see subject) and could give an explanation of how it is set up? I am using PowerSDR mrx software and would like to also include my favourite nostalgia mode - RTTY! N1MM according to other posts here is obviously working however I think that it is an overkill for a...

ANAN 7000/8000 - CAT interfaces and SO2R capability?
On behalf of a fellow ham who is interested in purchasing an ANAN I forward this question (see subject) in the hope to get an answer. The major concern is that the ANAN 7000/8000 is not being able to control for example two amplifiers on two different bands say amplifier #1 hooked up to ANT1 for 20 ...

Re: ANAN-8000DLE - permanent ADC overload
I just got the info from another ham running an 8000DLE who uploaded v2.4 and he experienced the same problems. So he went back to v2.3 and all is fine. Therefore it is definitely a firmware bug. As I wrote in some earlier post when I did some measurements on the relay coils while switching thru the...

Re: ANAN-8000DLE - permanent ADC overload
Problem solved (so far)! the original firmware version the radio was deliviered with was ver. 2.4. After loading the latest "official" firmware Ver. 2.3 (to see whether the process of uploading was successful) I took the chance and tried enabling ALEX on 10 & 12 m. Guess what - the rad...

Re: ANAN-8000DLE - permanent ADC overload
Hi Scott, this afternoon we flashed the firmware however no change. The relay matrix control seems to be completely off track as like described before whenever ALEX is enabled the relays for the 6m path are activated too while being on 10/12 m. Where this huge 25 MHz spur is injected I don´t know. T...

Re: ANAN-8000DLE - permanent ADC overload
Meanwhile after discussing with some people offline it is pretty sure that it is not a firmware problem. Thats why I didn´t reload the firmware so far. Besides that it is not as easy as assumed especially as different (competent) sources describe routines that conflict one each other in some but imp...

Re: ANAN-8000DLE - permanent ADC overload
The 6 m preamp is disabled on TX but not on RX (these are still the default values which I didn´t change) ALEX enabled Checking the RX box on "Disable 6 m LNA" doesn´t change anything. Same with "LNA 15/12/10M". No change in the artificial noise floor nor do I hear a relay clicki...

Re: ANAN-8000DLE - permanent ADC overload
he version shown in the ANAN display says V1.08. I found firmware versions for the ORION MkII board here: https://github.com/TAPR/OpenHPSDR-Firmware/tree/master/Protocol%202/Orion_MkII%20(ANAN-8000DLE)/previous%20Orion%20MkII%20NP%20versions However I cannot find V1.08 or any newer version if availa...

Re: ANAN-8000DLE - permanent ADC overload
Yes the voltage is o.k. - it measures 13,9 V. After moving around the bands for a while yesterday I enabled ALEX again and again and all of a sudden the "ADC Overload" flag was gone on all bands but 10 m. Even with the attenuator set to 0 dB I could not provoke an "overload". On ...

ANAN-8000DLE - permanent ADC overload
Hello, I got a strange phenomenon with an ANAN-8000DLE which I got a few days ago and wonder if it is just an operator error or something serious. Here is the story: When I used the radio the first time I noticed an "ADCx overload flag" on the 10 m band ( I don´t recall whether it was ADC1...
