Re: Thetis v2.8.11 - current issues

Hi Richie, would you be so kind to incorporate a small change in the next release? Changing the frequency database limit from 20.000 to 50k? A few months ago Chris Codella made that change for me so i can use Dan Furguson's database (now > 23000 entries). Chris has send the change to Doug but it ha...

Re: Thetis v2.8.11 - current issues

"what is this "Dan Furguson Database" you speak of? Thanks, Jeff NJ2US https://groups.io/g/swskeds/files (i think you have to join the group first) The latest file is A21-210626-1900.zip, it contains a .cvs that you have to convert it a bit before you can import it in Thetis. Hopefull...

Next time try SparkSdr. There's a Linux version and i think it can program the firmware too.
(look for "Gateware Upload" in the SparkSdr manual.)

Don't worry, the radio isn't bricked.
Download and use HPSDR Bootloader 2.0.4.4

Hi Mark, i can reproduce this "metalic" sound when using NR2 and Fast AGC.
It sounds better when using Slow or Long AGC. Regards.

Re: SWL list restriction

Hi Scott, thanks for your reply. Yes i used CSVUserListBrowser before with SDRuno and SDRConsole but stopped using it because i don't use SDRuno anymore and it is very easy to import Dan's freq list directly into SDRConsole. I will give it a try with Thetis though, thanks for the tip.

SWL list restriction

HI, it seems there is a limit of 20.000 entries for the SWL list. You can have more in CVS file but only the first 20k are displayed in Thetis. 20k looks more then enough but Dan Furguson's SWL lists have more entries. Btw his lists have to be converted before you can use them in Thetis but that's n...

Re: Noise Burst on initial transmit

Glad i could help :) NR2 is my favourite too, it is one of the best noise suppressors that i know but the NB is very good too. About a mile from my house there's a car factory. There welding robots produce lot of pulsed QRM, the noise floor jumps like crazy but it disappears completly when i enable ...

Hello Andras, the correct forum address is: https://forum.sdr-radio.com Please register and place your question under Forums and add a full screenshot of SDRC there, please never cut the pictures. When using the build-in Screen Capture button in SDRC then also mention the SDRC version (due to a litt...

Looking at the 7000/8000 schematics in the Thetis Manual (page 128): none of the antenna connectors are (nor can be) grounded.

Re: Thetis - Band Stack Editing

To make things easy you can use K9DUR's "BandText Table Editor"

https://k9dur.us/powersdr_utilities.php
(new link)

Works with Thetis Database.xml too.
C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Roaming\OpenHPSDR\Thetis-x64\database.xml

Re: How to import SWL list?

ok, here you go 1. download the csv from http://eibispace.de/ 2. after the download rename it to SWL.CSV 3. move this file to C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Roaming\OpenHPSDR\Thetis (or \Thetis-x64, depending on which version you are using) 4. start Thetis and open Spot (at the top) 5. click on the butto...

Re: How to update band name in VFO display?

Haven't found a edit option in Thetis but these settings are in the "database.xml" Search for <BandText>
Don't have to tell anyone to be very careful with this file, better not edit if you're not sure what you are doing and make a backup.

Hi Scott, there must be some kind of association cos Thetis can't find that file. (see pict)
This file is also mentioned in the PowerSDR manual but it doesn't tell in wich map it belongs.
