Re: Got the RED & YELLOW

You do not provide sufficient detail to know whether what you are doing is correct or not. However... - Assuming you are running 1500W peak ...YES.... - Assuming you are running an Xtronic coupler with approx. 44dB coupling factor ....YES.... Then 10dB of additional attenuation is all you need ........

Got the RED & YELLOW

Setting up an 8000 coming from a 200D, set up Pure Signal as it ran in the 200D, using the 20db pad out of the coupler. Immediately the right PS ID bar went Yellow / CORRECTING ... the left bar went RED ... I've got the other 10db pad, but should I wait a couple of days till my pad assortment comes ...

Re: Anan 8000, Power SDR vs the current user manual

That's what you get when you hit the BIG 80, and you try and recall something from memory...No I have it right; exactly like the write up on rev.24 ... you referenced.... So OK I got it now..thanks for your patience, but the panel and manual rhetoric thru me, then I crossed up the 200 connections, s...

Re: Anan 8000, Power SDR vs the current user manual

WOW ...Thanks Scott for the correction on Pure Signal But you'd better give it to me in simple terms... On my 200D I have a cable that goes from the IN connector of the amplifier to the RX Bypass OUT of the 200 ..where does this cable go on the 8000? Also a cable runs from 10/20 db pad on the couple...

Re: Pure Signal and a Trapezoid pattern

Thanks, Yes am running an amplifier so using the recommended setup, coupler, etc.
The reason I ask, I have always tuned the amplifier via the trapezoid pattern. But pulled the scope when I set up Pure Signal..
Thanks,

Pure Signal and a Trapezoid pattern

Running a 200D with a conventional wiring hook up for PS ... Can I tap the lines to pick up X & Y to feed a scope for the trap pattern, without messing up PS??

Re: DSB visual on Powersrd mRX bootup..

Looks like I'm back to square 0ne++++ Loaded 3.3.15, all appeared Ok ... But then out of the clear, the 200D kicked out on High SWR... But I was into a dummy load..So connections and cable..changed everything.. On the first boot, I got the DSB image again. Wiped .15 and went back to .9 .... The same...

Re: DSB visual on Powersrd mRX bootup..

Correct 3.3.9 was corrupted, came during a thunderstorm when the power flickered 3-4 times in rapid suction, although the 70 amp supply was/is on a APC..I guess some junk got through!!
Going to upgrade PureSignal to 2.0 .... but 3.3.15 looks solid!!
Thanks Scott!!

Upgrading PS from 1 to 2....

Just installed 3.3.15, in my 200D, and I see there have been changes in Pure Signal, read WA!OXT's epistle on Pure Signal 2.0 ... and before I get to far down the road, am wondering if the mechanical lash-up is the same as #1... in other words use of the coupler/Dummy Load/Pad. etc. Thanks Bill - KC...

DSB visual on Powersrd mRX bootup..

Anan 200D, running 3.3.9 ...On a cold boot, when I press the POWER button, I get DSB - TX image on the screen. Wait 20-40 seconds, and the screen drops into the normal RX configuration. Although the system looks like it's in TX, no output power is being generated, and the PTT has not been activated....

Should be OK ... TX adjustment will not work unless a audio f...

Diversity Operations

In general QSO's with other Anan owners, the subject of the hows and whens of the Anan Diversity comes up. and really unless I haven't done my homework, there is very little written about the 1-2-3-4's of setting up a system. Maybe whoever wrote the program has the instruction manual hidden off on a...

Wave File Recording??

Anan 200D, 3.3.9 .... am looking for information on how to adjust the in and output levels on the Wave File Recorder, when one makes a recording/or playback
The is a TX level adjustment but running it from +70 to -70 makes no difference in either level.
