If it helps, WSJT-X needs / demands your PC to have time synchronized with time server, i.e., using Dimension 4 software or other. Otherwise you will not be heard. I've been there done that.

Re: Thetis and CW Skimmer
Helmut, good day to you and yours. Looks like something has too much audio gain. I reopened my file and followed the pictures to redo each of the steps one by one. I do not see that blurriness on the decoding window after I launched Thetis / CW skimmer. Unable to replicate. My version of the VAC is ...

John, did you ever finish going through the SDR settings? I, like yours, have the default settings but don't know exactly what to change them to. What firewall setting did you allow?

Re: Thetis and CW Skimmer
I have figured out why OmnyRig's CAT cannot connect to CWSkimmer so that it displays Thetis frequency read out. All it takes is the creation of a Connector and a Splitter. Additional Pairs can be added if needed for TX, i.e., PTT or CW. I used the VSPE eulation software. In the sample picture attach...

Re: Thetis and CW Skimmer
To all Happy New Year!
George, can you possibly post the settings for CAT in CWS (OmniRig) / Thetis?
I am using VSPE for port creation and I can manage to interface Thetis to other software, i.e., N1MM, WSJTX, etc. but not using OmniRig.

Re: Thetis and CW Skimmer
My CWS / Thetis works without the offending line / bar across as mentioned here. The only issue that I am having is displaying the frequency (CAT settings) on CWS, however. I have tried Kenwoood, TS2000, PowerSDR with COM Pairs to no avail. Once I can have it display, I will confirm frequency accura...

7000DLE MKII - Shutdown
I would like to know if there is a way to completely shutdown 7000DLE MKII (i7). I mean, I can shutdown Windows 10 via the normal means but the 7000 still remains on. I have to manually push the big red square button to turn it off. The other night I forgot to do it and the hardware was on all night...

Thanks. I have read about the issue when the jumper is not there. As soon as I received mine yesterday, I opened it to confirm the chip # / the jumper was in place.
I will proceed with cautiously with bootloader method.

Re: New 7000/8000 Orion MKII Protocol 2 Firmware Topic
So I am the 2nd owner of a 7000dle MKII with PC embedded I7, 8Gb RAM, Windows 10 Home, purchased in October 2019. I do not think that it has the current firmware. I have only play with the PSDR that comes with it last night. Upgraded Windows to Pro in a flash. I would like to use Thetis as I have be...

I need to update the firmware though and perhaps use Thetis instead of PSDRMRX. You don't need anything but the right SDRConso...

Re: N1MM SO2V and 7000dle
Andy, my issue was fixed, as I wrote, by adding a RX antenna to the RX2 port on the back of the Anan 7000dle. I was having the issue you described with the program Thetis / N1MM being placed in SPLIT mode. After adding the above RX antenna to RX2 port on 7000dle, I was able to TX on VFO-B. Both RX2 ...

N1MM SO2V and 7000dle
I am working on setting up N1MM for SO2V but the program and 7000 are placed into Split when a station is selected in VFO-B or use Ctrl RightArrow. I watched a youtube video by N1EU dating back to Feb. 2015 about SO2V / search and pounce: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GAicWV_cT0g He was using ANAN...

Re: N1MM+, Voicing wav files, 7000dle Mic
I wanted to report that I play the NAQP SSB contest this weekend using the Anan 7000dle with focus on N1MM+. I have *.wav files prepared via Audacity for the main exchanges; CQ, Name, State. These files I have always used with other rigs. They played superbly well using VAC1, I think, as I did not h...

Re: Orion (200D) and Orion MKII (7000 & 8000) users: P2 v1.4 released
Not that fast, Scott! I was able to make FT8 and RTTY to work with Thetis. Somehow playing with the VAC settings back and forth on each FT8 and RTTY made it to TX / RX as it was before with P1. The settings are kind of backwards, though but as long they're working I am fine. Next for me is to play w...

Re: Orion (200D) and Orion MKII (7000 & 8000) users: P2 v1.4 released
Good news! Last night I did a clean uninstall / reinstall of Thetis. The FFT process repeated as in the first time, upon launching Thetis. Thetis opened and all is back to the way it was. I can only TX properly on CW, SSB. Digital mode only keys the radio / software (FT8, RTTY) but no signal Watts o...

Unfortunately, none of the suggestions makes the Thetis to work. I mean there isn't any signal or audio present. I know the 7000 is present since the ethernet blinks on both ends. 1.4 is the FW I reloaded using bootloader (had to rename the file). I will unload / reload the Thetis software next Rafa...

Reverted back to Thetis but now I does not display anything or makes any sounds. Thetis turns on but does nothing. I can check the settings but that's the extend of i...

Since inception of 7000dle I had it setup to PC via USB to Ethernet adapter. The PC has a direct ethernet connection to Verizon Fios router. It's been working happily since. A while back I had sent for better quality ethernet cables (CAT 7) and replaced the PC to router and Anan to PC cables.....soo...

Scott, we did it! It was all in my hands. I used the little black box that the Yamaha CM500 come with. It contains the necessary capacitor, etc. in a little board. It needs 2 AAA batteries which I will need to replace from time to time. I had tried it before but it still did not work. I opened the ...

VAC either on or off did the same result. I am using a Yamaha CM500 headset w/Boom mic. It's been working flawlessly with my 7000 and PC. I have even made some new TX SSB 7000dle profiles with it and use them in all the time and in contest. So I know the Yamaha is working. It's just the annoying bac...
