Re: Setup Problems ???
I did install it each time. Well don't do that anymore! Once it is installed and working it is good. Reinstalling is not going to change anything. I would check to see it it reported the MAC address If it is reporting the MAC address that means the ANAN is on the network and working properly in Boo...

Re: Andromeda- Encoders and buttons not responsive
There is no "Andromeda version of 2.9.0.6" You simply need to configure 2.9.0.6 so that all of the Andromeda settings are correct: Setup > Serial/Network/Midi/CAT > Andromeda -- make sure panel is enabled on the right port (not sure what port that is). Make sure main UI is in "Collaps...

Re: Setup Problems ???
I hope you didn't reinstall Bootloader 4 times! It at least seems that you did get Bootloader to run. There are at least a couple of dozen things you might be doing wrong. You have not provided enough information to know what that might be. It now seems like you want to set the 7000 to a static IP a...

Re: "Unlearning" VAC (reconfiguring audio set-up)
My question, if you set the drive level externally such that you get -3dB or so on Mic peaks, with all of the other Thetis processing bypassed (EQ/CFC/COMP) I find that you get little or no ALC compression, which I think you need for proper Pure Signal feedback? Is this right? If so, what is the be...

Re: "Unlearning" VAC (reconfiguring audio set-up)
Juha, You might take the output of the audio transformer and put that into an audio amp or amplified speaker, just to make sure the mic, preamp and transformer are all working OK. If that works ok, then in Thetis: select line in, set mic boost off, set mic gain 0dB, and adjust the mic preamp gain so...

Re: ANAN 10 with Protocol 2
There is no guarantee that card will work, either. There isn't even a guarantee that P2 will work on literally any Apache hardware, from the original Hermes to the latest Orion boards. It does, however, seem much more reliable on the later designs, like the Orion in the 200D, and the Orion MKII's an...

Re: ANAN 10 with Protocol 2
Unless you were getting audio glitches you did not have to revert. If you were getting audio glitches you could try an older version of P2 firmware. I might do a better job of meeting timing on your specific serial number ANAN-10. It also could be a temperature thing. Try putting a fan on the ANAN-10.

Re: Setup Problems ???
It seems like you are wanting to use Bootloader to ensure that the 7000 is set to DHCP (set address to 0.0.0.0), which is a very good idea. If Bootloader is not working, just start over. Uninstall Bootloader, uninstall Npcap or WinPcap (whichever you used). Then restart. Then install Npcap. Restart....

Yes. The Hermes board incorporates several polyfuse devices ("PTC"). These are self-resetting thermal fuses. They are denoted as "Fx" where x is the instance on the board. See the schematic: https://community.apache-labs.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=2335 There is no thermal prote...

The latest Thetis is 2.9.0.6.

The latest P2 firmware for the Orion MkII is 2.1.18.

You should use HPSDR Bootloader. Complete directions are in this topic (conveniently tacked at the top of the firmware discussion forum): https://community.apache-labs.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=2333 Be sure to have a copy of the correct P1 firmware handy in case the P2 firmware doesn't work out. ...

Re: New Andromeda now starting P1 instead of P2
Respectfully, you must be mistaken. P1 vs. P2 is defined by the firmware loaded onto the SDR board and that is not something that can spontaneously change. It is literally impossible to boot into one or the other like you describe. And there is only room for one version of firmware at a time on the ...

Re: How much spectrum
You can set it up so that 1.536 MHz is viewable on both RX1 and RX2 for a total of a little over 3MHz. This is sufficient to effectively monitor two entire bands with the exception of 6 and 10M. Networking needs to be hardwired, the radio will not run well over Wi-Fi (it is possible, but you have to...

Re: ANAN-7000DLE MKII 100W HF & 6M Transceiver (Black Edition) Front Inputs
Make sure you study the pinouts of the mic and key connectors if you are planning to use them. They are by no means standard or obvious, especially the mic connector. Also be aware that the rear panel speaker outputs from the internal 2W speaker amp are for use with plain old, unpowered speakers and...

Re: ANAN-7000DLE MKII 100W HF & 6M Transceiver (Black Edition) Front Inputs
Both the blue and black face versions have 3.5mm jacks and the RJ45 is on the front panel. It's been this way on all ANAN models since the ANAN-10 with the exception of the 7000 and 8000 units built with the giant, silver face chassis. The reason they have all been built this way is because all of t...
