Re: Pure Signal Issue

Hi Scott, After you mentioned you are at 2.1 with your 8000, I decided to give it another try to see if I maybe I had a bad firmware load but I still have the same problem as shown above. Don't know why that would be other than, of course, I have a "hybrid" system with the 8000 board and t...

Re: Pure Signal Issue

I had exactly the same problem with exactly the same panadapter view with 2.0, 2.1, and 2.2. I dropped back to 1.9 on my 8000 board and all is working well so it appears to be a firmware issue with my 8000, at least.

Re: VFO A signal drops 20+ dB when VFO B is set to 6M

I ran into this some time ago. If you keep VFO Sync enabled (top of window) when not using RX2 or MultiRx, you don't need to disable Alex for things to work properly.

Re: Vac problem with windows creators update, creative soundcard solution.

Hi Scott,

Thanks for the heads up on VB having to be reinstalled. I just did a save of all my parameters. I have Windows updates paused but the pause runs out on the 22nd so the update will auto load then and I'm sure I'll probably have to to a reinstall VB too.

Hmmm.... I don't hear anything that sounds as good as using NR2 to me. Maybe I'm missing something.

Recording audio from Rx2

I was playing with Rx2 yesterday and listening to something I wanted to record. It then dawned on me that I didn't know how to do that and don't believe it is possible.

Anyone know how to do this or is this not possible with the software today?

Thanks,

Re: RX2 mode change

Bill, look down at the bottom of the screen when you activate RX2. You should see two new panels displayed under the MIC/Comp/Vox control panel that allows you to control RX2 Mode and filter size.

Re: How to set up VAC2 with VMB and the UMC202HD

Hi Scott, Thanks for the info! Got it working with WDM with a buffer size of 256 and manual buffer latency at 3 (same as I use with ASIO on VAC1) and it works fine like that other than the delay difference you mentioned. I played with the buffer size on VAC1 and found if I set it to 512 and left VAC...

How to set up VAC2 with VMB and the UMC202HD

Scott, I have looked through the site and don't seem to be able to find anything specifically relating to the setup of VAC2 with VMB and the UMC202HD. I would like to get this operating as I switched to using all digital audio after installing the UMC202HD per your suggestion and have no problems as...

Re: GPSDO Tutorial?

Hi Scott, I just puchased one of these from your link. Thanks for posting it. Looks like mine is newer based on the board date which is late last year and the date on the front of the unit shows 3/29/2017. The circuit boards appears different from the pictures I saw of the unit previously. It does h...

Success!

The BBC code hint got me straightened out. Thanks!

I made the change to the original post.

Re: First power-up and sucessful test of my 8200!

Hi Scott,

I appear to be "snake bit" on getting an image to work. I opened an account on IMGUR and posted the image, copied the image link and edited my previous post to put the image in but I still don't see an image. I left the URL link in along with the image link.

Re: First power-up and sucessful test of my 8200!

Hi Scott, I tried the "img" tag and I couldn't get it to work. I also didn't see an image for your example above. It just says "image" on my browser; the same thing I saw when I tried it so I used the URL tag. My understanding of how it is supposed to work is you click the "...

Re: First power-up and sucessful test of my 8200!

Hi Scott, Here is a quick picture looking from the rear of my rig while it is undergoing testing after doing a mod to the PA. The 8000DLE board is in a compartment below the PA board out of sight. I designed the rear panel using Front Panel Express. Fits nicely and looks good! Almost done now with t...

Re: First power-up and sucessful test of my 8200!

Hi Scott, I'll post some pics soon. Still finishing up the chassis. Mostly done now. I've had the system together for the last couple of days doing some final testing to see what additional changes I need to make before I call the chassis done and move on to the interface work to get the front panel...

First power-up and sucessful test of my 8200!

I know, what is an "8200"? That is what I'm currently calling my marriage of the new 8000DLE board with my old 200D PA/Filter board. I just got to a point in the new chassis build today where I could mount both boards and interconnect them. Powered the system on and it worked! Had just one...

Re: Orion MKII Maker Board

Hi Phil, You may already have found out the size of the board is 160mm x 160mm but thought I'd mention it if not. Found it on the Apache web site. I ordered the board Tuesday from Apache-Labs and it will be here Wednesday. I have a couple of different ideas for its use; one being a replacement for m...
