Re: Beginning of transmission spike

This problem occurs even without external source of latency like Voicemeeter. The problem is that the Thetis TX audio pipeline is not flushed prior to the start of the transmission. This problem can be mitigated by setting General > Options > Options-1 > RF Delay to an appropriate value. I've never ...

Re: Can you use CAT/MIDI at the same time?

There will be no conflicts. Internal Thetis logic is "last command wins".

You might consider processing the analog controls into CAT rather than MIDI.

Note also that Thetis can accept CAT over IP as well as serial.

Power cycling the ANAN hardware to fix a problem indicates that the firmware went to a bad place and needed to be rebooted.

Re: Update to Firmware Ver: 2.2.2 No communication

Loading firmware with the bootloader is the "hard reset". Step 1 is to go back to the original firmware and make sure everything is working OK. If that does not work then that suggests you are not performing the firmware loading process correctly. If it does work, then you can retry one of...

Two NICs? Try disabling the NIC you don't need prior to running Bootloader (Settings > Network & Internet > Change adapter options, right click on the adapter in question). You won't break anything by doing this, you can simply enable it again when you are done.

I just istalled Firmware 2 12.2.1A in my 100D first edition. Now I have "sequence error 264 / 265 (DDC2 Mic)" and an distordet audio. Database reset has no effect. Any idea? Yes. Unfortunately that firmware version is not closing timing on your hardware. You will have to petition Rick for...

I've recently started using CMaudio with a Behringer UMC202HD and ASIO driver. I also know that I no longer have cw sidetone. Could this CW mode info not being sent to Log4OM be a side effect of CMaudio? No, it's not a side effect of CMaudio. There is no CW sidetone available when VAC or CMaudio is...

Re: 700DLE/Thetis ext 10 Mhz sorce( AND) correction factor?

So what's different about 2.2.2b? In this case it's just two different compiles of the same code. The problem with the free Quartus Lite FPGA development environment is that it is impossible to lock down the timing (aka incremental build, aka floor planning). So every compile results in slightly di...

Re: Is Bootloader working OK for people who are running Windows 11?

Bootloader does not care about IP addresses. When you boot the ANAN in Bootloader mode it advertises a MAC address only. The Bootloader app sends out a raw Ethernet broadcast packet that the Bootloader firmware in the ANAN responds to. Knowing the MAC address of the ANAN, the Bootloader app then use...

Re: So Disappointed But I Rolled it Back. 7000 MK III To Protocol 1

I've noticed a frequency offset when using protocol 2 with a 7000DLE MK3. It is around -160Hz. When using protocol 1, the frequency is correct (within several Hz). I asume that with only changing between protocol 1 and 2 firmware, the frequency should be identical. Do you also have the frequency of...

The G2 uses a Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 (CM4), not a Pi 4. The CM4 did not come out until until 16 months after the Pi 4. Thus it will likely be some time before they produce a "CM5". If you are both adventurous and knowledgeable about this sort of thing there are already many alternat...
