Re: Thetis 2.9.0.7 x86 (4/23/22) MW0LGE pre-release (meters testing)
I built the latest that was posted yesterday. At least I think I did, I'm not fully up to speed on pulling down Git updates, etc. I spent a lot of time playing with the new metering to get it just the way I wanted it (so far) and posted the results here: https://youtu.be/GFBSdHe8jNc I'm not at all i...

Juha--you are the KING of asking a large number of totally disconnected questions in a single post! To address the title of this post, "Compression taking place", and, I'm assuming, your primary, core question: PureSignal has NOTHING to do with the compression you see with your amplifier. ...

Re: Sequence errors during transmit
Okay this is what I did and the sequence errors have gone away. I went into tp-link network card properties and disabled most of the parameters that were enable. It would probably be better to leave all the off-loading options turned on. That makes things easier on the NIC. Now what actually helped...

You are already doing everything in the cookbook. The only thing I have left to offer is to try messing with some of the advanced settings. Over the years I've found that the advanced settings that have had the most dramatic effects for me were flow control and interrupt moderation. For instance, on...

Re: Sequence errors during transmit
As it happens, there will be another P2 firmware version coming out for EP4CE and 5CEFA based hardware because a bug was found in the QSK code in the current builds. So that might (or might not!) fix any problems. When the new firmware will be available I cannot say. It has to go through some alpha ...

It doesn't work perfectly, it gets stuck at the end of the word. Unfortunately that's not enough to understand the problem. What gets stuck? Are you saying it does not stop transmitting? Or does it stop transmitting too soon like you wrote in your posts from May? A lot more detail than that would b...

Re: Sequence errors during transmit
Are the seq errors resulting in any noticeable degradation of your transmit audio? If not then you can ignore them. Public/private doesn't really matter. In Thetis Setup > General > H/W Select have you enabled Network Throttle Index Tweak? You can try disabling Windows Firewall on the dedicated TP-L...

There is currently no way to have independent zoom.
More to the point, did you find out what setting was not the same between RX1 and RX2?

Re: RX2- receive difference than RX1
What you describe is impossible if both RX1 and RX2 are set up exactly the same and are both feeding off of the same ADC.
You need to make sure that AGC mode, AGC gain, NR modes, passband width, filter settings, everything is exactly the same.

Re: No RF Output in QSK
It would be good if others with hardware based on the more recent board revisions could check this. It could be a firmware issue that crept in with the advent of the EP4CE and 5CEFA FPGA builds. Refer to this post to identify what hardware you have: https://community.apache-labs.com/viewtopic.php?f=...

Uninstall. Delete everything in this folder: C:\Users\your-windows-username-goes-here\AppData\Roaming\OpenHPSDR\ Note that this is a hidden directory but if you type the path in manually in File Explorer it will open the directory. Then reinstall. Thetis won't really do very much without some hardwa...

Re: Any one using KM3KM amplifier
Rick, This will be a "real" port as far as Thetis is concerned. No virtual serial port cables instances required. The port number you specify in Thetis will be the port number associated with the port on the RS-232 device server (Moxa, right?) And of course you'll configure the device serv...

Nice rant ;) Not sure what prompted it (perhaps some on-the-air discussions?), but it might be interesting for people who are relatively new to the radio to know that the roots for this work go all the way back to 2006 or even earlier. Take a look at: https://openhpsdr.org/history.php In the days pr...

When you own an openHPSDR architecture radio, like your Apache/Thetis combo, it helps if you are already familiar with basic Ethernet networking and basic Windows networking. Re: Bootloader sees 200D but Thetis does not. Direct connected
A direct ethernet connection does not work with DHCP! No, but it will work with APIPA , and when you put the firmware into DHCP mode if it does not get a DHCP address after some (unknown to me) period of time, it will revert to APIPA. However, it is important to match things up on the PC side. If t...

My experience with ANAN 7000 and Mercury IIIS (A factory built one) : The Mercury won't turn on LDMOS bias until it sees RF and if pure signal doesn't have some delay before it starts working, it gets confused over lack of RF out during the time that it knows it is transmitting. It seems to take ab...

Re: SSB output drops off considerably - new issue
You'll see on the schematics that there is not a lot to go wrong between the mic jack and the CODEC chip. It's unlikely it's any sort of bad solder connection since a power cycle fixes the issue. Since you are not using mic bias we can't blame a failing mic bias circuit. If we assume it's not corrup...

If you are having troubles that are fixed by a reboot of the FPGA in the ANAN, consider reloading the firmware. It's never been clear to me how the firmware might become corrupted,...

Perhaps the Heil is intermittent in some way? Do you have a way to eliminate the Heil as the source of the problem? Another mic that can be used?
What happens if you wiggle the connections?
Just thinking about mechanical problems first as being most likely.
