Re: LCD Fault
Simon, I have not looked at the code, and don't have an 8000, but from the reports of others it would appear that the LCD microprocessor is responsible for detecting faults associated with overcurrent, overvoltage and VSWR coming from the 50V amplifier board, and that any such fault requires the op...

LCD Fault
So, 1.6b indicated a PA FAULT (Power Amplifier Overdrive) and started beeping at me, the only way i could clear this fault was to power cycle the radio. Is this intentional? The fault was still displayed when I want back to RX. I would expect an error message to timeout when no longer applicable. FW...

Re: LCD Arduino Code
Hi Simon, Links to all of the firmware, including the LCD microcontroller code, are here: https://apache-labs.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=2334 . The directions, which may not be complete, are in the 8000 user guide. Links to all of the users guides are here: https://apache-labs.com/commu...

Yes, in fact the 100 is essentially the 10E with more power I think. Anyway, all ANAN which run the new protocol (protocol 2) are/will be supported.

Re: Sennheiser 835S
I do get excellent unsolicited audio reports, so I am sticking with this microphone.
I'll try to get a SDR recording from a remote location so you can hear it. Note that I'm not using PowerSDR, rather my own software with speech compression / noise gate.

Scott,
I just use a standard cable as you describe.

New Protocol
Woo-Hoo,
I've been testing the new firmware (not publicly available) and had a long QSO on 80m using VOX which was hammering the areas where before there had been issues.
it ran very nicely .

Sennheiser 835S
Hi, I'm using this microphone with the 10E and 8000DLE. Getting very good reports, this is a superb microphone. Don't be fooled by super-duper microphones costing many $$$ with enhanced communications quality audio. We can mangle audio in the DSP - but first start with a good input source. The S ver...

Hi All, Here's a brief post from a weary programmer: 1) I'm only supporting the new protocol aka protocol 2 2) I do have TX support 3) It's working with the Herems-based 10E - tester is Jeff KR3EP who uses SSB and AM 4) I have just received firmware for my 8000DLE and it is working - must have a few...

LCD Arduino Code
Scott,
If I haven't missed this - we need somewhere for the LCD/Arduino releases. There was talk on Team Speak that Warren (?) had done something.
