Re: Interfacing Thetis to N1MM?
Hi Scott, Nope, no luck. I even tried the same port you have. The N1MM log on the Andromeda shows nothing - it is empty. I also tried to turn the firewall off. I can ping the Andromeda from my shack computer, but the N1MM reports: "Flex5000 RX2 on COM 1001 is not responding" It is the late...

Re: Interfacing Thetis to N1MM?
Thanks, Scott, I think this is close to what I did, but I'll have to check tomorrow.
I have been trying to get an IPtoSerial configuration to use the CAT serial port configuration to work, but ran out of time.

Re: Interfacing Thetis to N1MM?
Well, I have not figured it out, so I'll ask someone smarter than me: 1. What radio do you set N1MM to? I tried TS-2000 and Flex) 2. Should the IP port in N1MM be set to the radio's (in my case Andromeda/Thetis) IP address and port? 3. I keep getting a port error. Do I need a serial port for CAT con...

Photus,
Which firmware and Thetis versions are you running?
Does it help to re-boot the the system?
Did you try and reset the database?

Re: New Andromeda now starting P1 instead of P2
I believe they are all shipped with P1 firmware - at least mine did. You will need to install Bootloader, download the latest P2 firmware and install it. Fortunately, the switch on the back of the radio. Check the firmware section of this forum for details and follow the instructions carefully. It a...

Re: Andromeda Initial Observations
Found another little glitch in the Andromeda hardware. When in RXA I pushed "Lock" and the LED correctly lights up. When I switch to RXB the light stays on. The display shows the correct state of lock in both receivers. Pushing the Lock button while in RXB turns the Lock on in RXB and the ...

I have tried to connect it to a 10" HDMI monitor, but no luck getting any display.
The adaptor works with a USB stick.

Re: Andromeda Initial Observations
Hi Laurence, I think the source code was published somewhere by Ricky, but someone posted and update with new meter display, so perhaps there is some development activity again. OK on the work-around. I'll try that. In the meantime a correction to my last posting: LED2 should not be on. LED4 lights ...

Re: Andromeda Initial Observations
More on this: When the DIV button is pushed, LED2 is not lit. I checked the configuration of controls, buttons, LEDs and menus. All OK I loaded the initial (from factory) database and it reacted the same way.. The DIV window shows DIV on when the button is first pushed and it reacts correctly to mov...

Re: Andromeda Initial Observations
I found a strange behaviour today. When I tried diversity only the outer rotary control worked. After that none of the buttons or any of the other rotary controls worked. I had to close Thetis and restart it in order to get control back. This is an interesting one since it could be either Thetis, fi...

Re: Andromeda Initial Observations
Aivars,
My Andromeda is installed too well into my shack, so I can't get pictures on it, but it looks like this on the front:
viewtopic.php?f=17&t=4417
The back is exactly like the picture in the manual the Apache site.

Re: New 7000MKIII Protocol 2 Firmware Topic
I tried version D of the new firmware and while it appears to be working otherwise, the S-meter showed 20 dB lower than it should. After trying to re-calibrate it several times every 1 MHz from 2-30 MHz, it behaved rather strangely. When calibrated with -70 dBm at 3 MHz, the meter reading was 20 dB ...

Re: Andromeda Initial Observations
Hi Scott, The measurements were after the calibration of the S-meter. I think my stand-alone 7000 DLE shows -124 dBm, but it is a while since I checked it out. BTW, I tried Dither and Random and neither seemed to make any difference. I did find the button for the TX form and have been using it a lot...

Andromeda Initial Observations
The Andromeda finally arrived! Once out of the box it sat wrapped in its plastic bag for a couple of hours so it could reach temperature equilibrium. BTW, the package contained a Thunderbolt/USB-C adaptor that provides a couple of USB 3.0 interfaces, a HDMI interface and an Ethernet interface. A nic...

Re: Font size and Thetis crash
I think this problem has been noted before. The correct way to change the font in Thetis is by going into Settings/General. No issues with that here. I'm running Windows 11 on one machine and RPi on another.

Re: Andromeda???
Well, I have to jump in with a few comments: The discussion about buttons or not is a little like discussing the brand of beer. I prefer ESB and a number of buttons on my radio since my space for monitors is limited and I also think that buttons many times are faster to operate than a mouse, but tha...

Thanks for the update Tony. I too have been waiting and hoping for at least some comms from Apache Labs. I also have an Andromeda on order which was supposed to be delivered by now, but no update. Re: Need help!
Are both radios on the same subnet? I have had the same problem here when both the Anan-7000 and Hermes are on the same subnet. I sometimes have to disconnect one radio when Thetis is trying to connect the other. Even if the radios use different firmware versions (or perhaps because of that?) this h...

Re: Introducing the ANAN-8000DLE MKII
I find this announcement puzzling and maybe a little disturbing. I have the 14-bit Hermes board on order and paid for as well a substantial deposit for the Andromeda and no update on delivery for a long while. Perhaps a focus on delivery of promised products would be a nice gesture instead of mythic...

Re: Controller V2
Hi Wayne, You can configure the audio output to appear either from the radio or the Raspberry. If you choose the radio, you can only have audio from one channel at a time. The audio is actually generated on the Pi, so it is sent back to the hardware part of the radio, if that is what you want. I am ...

Re: Controller V2
Hi Rafael, I use mine pretty much every day mainly for SSB. It works very well and has the NR2 implemented, which works as well as it does on Thetis. The Controller does not have as many adjustments implemented, but all the controls needed for SSB are there. Some things that are NOT implemented are:...
