Re: Thetis/PSDR development philosophy

I believe we would need to know the file names in the skin associated with the various panels that can be displayed in the Andromeda display mode. Once that is known it is very simple to create and then add the console panel pieces to duplicate what is shown in the rest of the GUI skin. I glanced at...

Enzo, Follow the update directions written by Richie (MW0LGE) in the very first post of the Thetis forum at the link below. Richie has provided download links for the official version of 2.6.9 and also the zip archive file pack that moves it to the 2.7.0 version by overwriting 6 of the files of your...

Re: Thetis/PSDR development philosophy

Hi Enzo, Scott covered this pretty well already, but a couple of weeks ago I started playing around with some of the un-docked panels available with the collapsed mode "Andromeda" interface and really liked it. With the limited real estate of my little 22" monitor I can't fit everythi...

That button already exists Dave. On the rare occasion when you need to reset the database first export the current database so it can be restored if possible, and then press the reset database button and a fresh database will be installed. To be honest, I don't think I have ever reset the database w...

Re: Sampling after linear amp - worthwhile/possible?

In Thetis or PowerSDR mRX PS, look at the Ant/Filters tab in the menu settings and on the right side you will see a checkbox for the "BYPASS on TX" setting. That will direct the ANAN to listen on that port while transmitting.

Re: Sampling after linear amp - worthwhile/possible?

Yes, this is the preferred way to set things up when you are using an external linear amplifier. Pure signal will then be correcting your entire transmit chain which produces the most optimal result. My RF Sampler is an Xtronic X-DC1 which attenuates the sample by -43dB and I am currently using a fi...

Laurence, After browsing through the Thetis manual you put together, all I can say is "Wow!" It's already been said here, but the amount of work you put into this project is very evident. The first item I browsed to was the section regarding the Andromeda controls. There's a whole lot more...

Re: Anan 100D Updates

Hi Roger, Your 100D is capable of doing everything that the newest ANAN radios can do, so no worries about an end-of-life scenario. The development of the PowerSDR mRX PS software has given way to the development of Thetis, which is a more evolved software platform at this point in time. It runs at ...

It's my understanding that the assortment of firmware versions you see out there for your 7000 are compiled with slightly different thermal compensation and timing setting...

Re: Problems With PS in Thetis (Attched Video)

Hi Larry, I watched the video and thanks for displaying all the setup screens as well as verbally describing what is happening. I believe that since you are not using an external sampler, you need to make one correction on the transmit tab. Uncheck the Bypass on TX box. What is happening now is that...

Re: Thetis v2.6.9 Install Problem

Hi Bob, Sorry that the LAN group classification is not the problem. That would have been an easy fix! I am not aware of any undocumented releases of the ANAN 200D. As far as I know all that is out there is the REV 15, REV 16, and REV 24 versions of the 200D. The REV 15/16 versions are very similar a...

Mike, I believe that the TX multimeter only remembers the meter function you select while the radio is in transmit mode. Try making your selection for the TX meter while the ANAN is keyed.

If so, the firewall might allow files to be written to the Program Files...

Hey, good for you for warming up the soldering iron Perry! Glad you fixed it! Juha,

The CFC Audio Tools built into PSDR mRX PS and Thetis has an excellent phase rotator. It does a fine job of removing asymmetry in your voice to allow maximizing your average power output.
