Re: Frequent Sequence Errors Again

None of the things you are trying should matter and, as you can see, they don't matter (don't make any difference). When you changed ISPs, what equipment on your LAN changed? How do the radio and the PC get IP addresses? DHCP from your router? What does your LAN look like? Is it router<-->switch<-->...

Re: Anan 200D communication Issues

If you have P2 and a proper IP address programmed into the 200D and it is working on 1 PC and not another, then the problem has to be with the PC. If you are using different cables with the two PCs it might also be a cable problem. Have you confirmed the problem PC works at GigE speed by connecting ...

Re: Andromeda Initial Observations

So until that's resolved, I don't think I can do anything else! Of course you can do something, Laurence, don't be silly. You could take the existing 2.9.0.6, add the necessary changes, and publish it on your own Git repo. There are no "rules" preventing this. This is open source. And eve...

Re: Anan 200D communication Issues

How is the 200D getting that address? Is it coming from your router DHCP server? Or did you manually program it in with Bootloader or HPSDR Programmer?

When you suspect corruption of Windows it's best to use both SFC and DISM commands:

The reality is that everyone should run these commands at least once a month.

Re: 7000DLE interfaced with MFJ-998 Tuner?

The easiest (but maybe not best or most desirable) way to use a 998 with a radio that does not have a compatible tuner interface is to put it in automatic mode and manually operate the amp operate/standby state as required. If you want fully automatic, closed-loop tuning, you will have to engineer a...

Re: Interfacing with the Heathkit SB-230 and ANAN 7000 DLEMKII

Not sure, John. I could measure mine but I won't have an opportunity to do that until later in the week. Perhaps someone else could make that measurement? If the amp was being used with a 7300 then it might have an internal mod to make it more compatible with the solid state, low current, low voltag...

Re: Interfacing with the Heathkit SB-230 and ANAN 7000 DLEMKII

I don't have an SB-230 so I'm not 100% sure of my interpretation, but... You may have damaged your 7000 by directly connecting the PTT output to the PTT input of the amp. It is probably not capable of keying that amp directly. The SB-230 is a typical amplifier design of that era. Such amp's used a -...

Re: ANAN-7000DLE MKII HF & 6M 100W SDR Transceiver **i7 CPU**

RAM size does not drive CPU loading unless the amount of RAM is very small and it starts to affect Windows OS performance. 8GB is sufficient in our case but 16GB is better overall for Windows IMHO. SSD size is not a factor at all. The 8000 was never offered with a built-in PC, only the 7000. My pers...

Re: KPA-500 vs. KPA-1500 and ANAN 7000 MLE MKII i7

I have both the KPA500 and the KPA1500. I have used both with my 100D and 8000DLE. In both cases you make the usual PTT and RF connections between the amp and the Apache hardware. If you want PureSignal support, the built-in coupler output of the KPA1500 works well. The KPA500 will require a separat...

Re: DX Doubler (DXD Top Ten)

Other than it's prehistoric style LPT port for software control it's not really any different than any other two radio/four receiver mic/key/audio switchbox sold for SO2R op's. The Elecraft cable pictured will not work. However, it does provide a nice schematic to mark up with a red pencil based on ...

Re: DX Doubler (DXD Top Ten)

Do you mean making cables? Because according to the manual the only software interface is between the DXD device and N1MM.

Do you already have Thetis interfaced to N1MM? Because I'm guessing that is also required, and for the 7610 as well.

Re: Thetis and TRX-Duo works

There is no such thing as an ANAN-7000MKIII. Unfortunately this is what people are calling the latest production units of the 7000MKII because these units contain a new revision of the Orion board called the Orion MKIII, which is also an unfortunate and confusing naming choice. You can read more abo...

While it would be convenient to gain control of an LPF via onboard digital IO signals, this is by no means a showstopper. There are plenty of serial CAT band decoder designs out there already that can be used to drive an LPF board in an automated fashion. Or, if you were thinking about the merely be...

Ryan, "Playing" is the operative word. I don't ever use linHPSDR, or piHPSDR for real. Where amateur radio is concerned the best tools are found on Windows. IMHO, those who eschew Windows are doing themselves a disservice. The same goes for Linux. I use both operating systems, Linux and Wi...

It's probably fair to say that the answer to that questions is "No."

John Melton's Git repo has seen almost no significant activity for a long time.
