Re: piHPSDR CW issus on ANAN 2G with Front Panel
Hi Volker, @dl4zbg I think you found some bugs. I was able to replicate your issues and just checked in some fixes to my github repo. If you want to pull them in, do this from an xterm to the Pi CM4: cd /home/pi/github/pihpsdr make clean git pull make -j9 You should be able to run pihpsdr now and te...

Re: TAPR Hermes PCB
Hi Roger, If you open the unit up you might want to put a heatsink on the Ethernet Phy chip. It gets a lot warmer running at Gige. Also note that there are later versions of the P2 firmware. Check out this thread: https://community.apache-labs.com/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=3310 -Rick / N1GP

Hi András, Just in case you didn't know, Christoph keeps a fork of John's piHPSDR which has many additions you might find useful: https://github.com/dl1ycf/pihpsdr One difference you may find helpful is the change to a logarithmic scale for the volume. He also has updates to wdsp which is required f...

Maybe they are punchouts for speakers. This video makes me think so:

I submitted an Issue on Ramdor's github repo for this since Thetis
should be keeping track of the proper SetPK value for P1 or P2.

LOOKING FOR ALPHA TESTERS for ANAN-7000/Andromeda EP4CE and 5CEFA FPGA firmware update

I can confirm that this issue indeed "crept in with the advent of the EP4CE and 5CEFA FPGA builds." I've tested all variants, QSK works fine on the EP4CG but not on the EP4CE and 5CEFA FPGA builds. I've found and fixed the error and am currently building new firmware. I'll post an update w...

Re: ANAN 10 with Protocol 2
Hi Steven, Your comment about the front power LED going dim made me think of a common problem with the early Hermes/Angelia boards running GigE. There's a resettable fuse F3 for 5 Volts that may be getting tripped. Check this thread out for what some folks did with their Angelia's F3. https://commun...

It looks like the F/W version number for MkIII Protocol 1 is the same as MkII, v2.7 having just looked at the source code. The filename (Metis_Orion_MKIII_rev5.rbf) rev5 is an internal revision that Joe seems to have used while developing the MkIII Protocol 1 F/W and has nothing to do with the actua...

BTW, I loaded the P1 F/W Metis_Orion_MKIII_rev5.rbf on my MkIII and Thetis

The wideband data is on port 1027.
The DDC (RX1&2) data is on ports 1037 & 1038.
I bet your 1st PC's firewall is blocking those 103X ports...? (UDP)

Thanks for your feedback folks. Even if the firmware is not working in default ethernet speed @ gige, one thing you can try as an experiment when you have the new firmware loaded: With the 7000 powered off, insert a keyer paddle or key in to the 'CW Key' jack. Hold the key down or paddle in either d...

Re: 7000MKIII Protocol 2 Firmware
Hi Bryan, It was pretty straight forward with the changes. The tricky parts (which Joe found out in the P1 version), were a change in the DAC clock phase and then getting timing to close. As you may know using Quartus Lite forces the fitter to redo everything each compile. I came up with a Makefile ...

J14 isn't being used in the Orion1 / 200D firmware as far as I tell. It's assigned a signal name "MODE2" but nothing is attached to it. In the Orion2 (7/8000) it's used to tell the firmware that there is an EPCQ128A -vs- EPCS128 on board. input MODE2, //jumper J14 on Orion: 1 if removed = ...
