Hi Scott,
As per description given vy vendor this amp is designed to deliver 70W with an input max 5 watts !
So our hermes can over drive it ?

Re: Hermes Homebrew Fault Finding
Hi Scott, Please have a look into the PSDR display during Tune and MOX - SSB. Is this normal or else any issue ? Why I am asking is by seeing the spreaded waterfall during SSB mode TX ! Is thsi normal ? I had connected my Hermes 5-10W driver PA to a dummy load during this test. http://www.youtube.co...

Re: CAT Control in PSDR mRX
Hi Scott, Thanks for advise. I could do it and work without using DDUtility. I use Virtual serial port pair also as required. Settings I use are as below: PSDR : CAT : COM13 ; Baud rate 9600 CAT + : CAT2 : COM26 ; CAT3: COM25 ; CAT3:COM24. Enable all three with selection check box. Com-0-Com : Virtu...

10 -20W PA for Hermes
Hi Team,
Hopefully many have built and running Hermes and have made their 10-20W driver PA which further drive the final QRO PA.
Can you guide me to home-brew on economic driver PA between Hermes and final PA which require 5- 10W input power ?

Re: CAT Control in PSDR mRX
Hi Scott,
In this case, do we need to configure virtual port pairs in Com-0-com program ? or it is not required ?
I have Com-0-com running in my PC.
Is that the reason , when I tried second cat in PSDR, it was not working and showed some error !

Hi Scott,
I was trying to see if any dry soldering between FPGA pins, also did a clean with solution between pins. Now it run ok !!
So it is some dry or short between FPGA pins. Let us see if the issue come again .

I use Flex 1500 and PSDR associated with Flex Radio. Then our Hermes and PSDR mRx for it. Both Run in same PC.
I think both Database talk each other and in same folder !! ??
Any particular setting to be done in PC folder or Path for Data base ??

I have monitored the DAC IC Data in pins from 1 to 14 and slide show video captured as below.
I have viewed waveforms on all DAC IC data pins from 1 to 14 and result captures as a slide show video as below.

Hi
Can we conclude fault to foga or dac ?
Anything else to check ?
If nothing else can be the reason, we will try replace fpga. But how to remove it another nightmare for me

Now I connected my Hermes plus my 10W drive amp and work FT8 mode using WSJTX. I could work few stations.
But still I could not resolve issue with SSB signal error. I work on 20m now.

Re: Hermes Homebrew Fault Finding
Hi Scott
What can be the minimum spec for a descent scope to buy which can cover all Hermes signal tracing ?
Which is the first point we expect a sine wave ? Is it at it at DAV ouput or T1 primary ?
Pine1 was at 1Mhz, 2 at 2 plus and so on itwas different.
Do you expect a faulty DAC IC ?
