Re: XVTR TX OUT 28MHz signal purity?
Congrats! In order to improve suppression of unwanted spurii, try adding a band pass between the transverter and the PA, e.g.

Re: XVTR TX OUT 28MHz signal purity?
In case of overdriving your mixer with too much 28MHz injection, 3rd harmonic will increase as well. It is up to you to adjust the input level of the mixer. You can use attenuators and/or reduce PA gain (increasing value). As a rule of thumb, do not exceed 0,1mW for a 7dBm mixer. Go for IM3 first (i...

Re: XVTR TX OUT 28MHz signal purity?
Hi Dave, - as far as I remember the 70/28 transverter has a LPF at the Input, so this should add significant attenuation to the 3rd harmonic. - I don't have the 200D, but on all of my ANANs (10/100/7000) PA GAIN DOES HAVE AN EFFECT OF THE XVERT output!!! - IM3/IM5 are the figures to take care of at ...

Kjell,
my Orion MKII is part of my ANAN 7000DLE. I cannot imagine how to run Pure Signal with the transverter output (HF PA disabled).
To be honest, I was not even able to find the transverter output path in the schematics.

GALI? in my schematics Version 5.2 I find the PGA-103+ MMIC. When I checked the quality of the transverter output at 10dBm or higher I measured abt -25dBc, at 0dBm it was about -45dBc. I expected better values. Not I know why. Pure signal can hardly be used with transverters. TNX Volker DL4ZBG

Re: Thetis DRIVE CONTROL IN TRANSVERTER MODE
Jeff, I am not quite shure whether this is is an issue of the ANAN hardware. I am using the 7000DLE. Increasing the PA settings in order to reduce the transverter output to 0dBm or even lower will lead to only 2 steps!! Absolutely not useable. To avoid this I increased the output level to abt 50mW a...

Please post your experiences and (if you have measuring devices) the IM3 values of the transmitter. On 4m large signal behaviour of the receiver might be less important.

Both transverters are rated at abt. +- 2ppm. I can live with their frequency drift (after warming up) quite well. For 432 I temporarily added this filter: https://www.ebay.com/itm/433MHz-Remote-control-model-aerial-map-pass-band-pass-filter-433M-bandwidth-8MHz/283483073477?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3...

Re: ANAN-7000DLE MKII now available without internal PC
Hi Ken,
I own both. Due to crosstalk issues on the old 100 PA board, predistortion will not work as well as it should.
My recommendation: sell the 100 and buy a new 7000 DLE (II).

Hi Graeme,
using my 7000 DLE (no MKII) I can get abt. 0 dBm at a gain setting of 72. The output is very clean (IM3 abt -50dBc). Did you enable the checkboxes "XVERT RF TX" and "Disable PA" for your (hopefully) enabled transverter?
