I believe you are referring to PiHPSDR at start-up.
The ANAN-G2 does not currently support Protocol 1, so you can
'untick' that in the PiHPSDR start-up dialog as it can be ignored.

Re: How to tell what FPGA thus firmware goes on Orion MK-III board
Jim, Just to confirm, you installed v2.1.26 of the firmware and v2.10.3.3 of Thetis? There is a protocol 2 firmware newer than v2.1.26, that would be v2.1.27G: https://community.apache-labs.com/download/file.php?id=3477 You could also try using the latest (only) protocol 1 firmware for that board to...

Re: How to tell what FPGA thus firmware goes on Orion MK-III board
Jim,
You might want to install the Latest Thetis and maybe do a database reset.
https://github.com/ramdor/Thetis/releases/tag/v2.10.3.3
You should definitely use Radio Model ANAN-7000DLE not ANAN-G2.

Hi Jim, If your current firmware is 2.1.26, I would say that is a EP4CE115F29C8N Cyclone IV series FPGA. That is the latest Protocol 2 firmware for that board although I had posted some older ones in this thread: https://community.apache-labs.com/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=4292 UPDATE: I see Scott bea...

Re: New G2 with display and problems
Hi Roger,
From what I have heard the XLR input has more amplification than the mic
input. You should turn that down from 50 to something under 30.
When you change from XLR to front or rear mic input you also need to change
the setting in pihpsdr:

Can you check and make sure that on your G2's native pihpsdr that
in the TX menu, Radio Mic is set to Mic In ?
Failing that, maybe try deleting your props file in that directory (with pihpsdr NOT active),
mine is E4-5F-01-C2-1F-88.props

Try updating pihpsdr again. I was actually working on merging in some
changes in the serial handling code on 9/19 which turned out to have a bug,
but the current (todays) should work OK.

Re: So Disappointed But I Rolled it Back. 7000 MK III To Protocol 1
Hi Vin, Sorry to hear of your troubles getting P2 to work on your ANAN. I take it you have a MkIII which is using the Cyclone V FPGA, 5CEFA I wonder if you could try the below gateware, it is generally all of the Protocol 2 with the exception of Gigabit Ethernet support. It runs the same speed as P1...

Another thing to check is the CPU frequency. We found that the CM4 CPUs run fine @ 2 Ghz To see what it's current max is: pi@raspberrypi:~ $ cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpufreq/policy0/cpuinfo_max_freq 2000000 If not 2000000, check /boot/config.txt file and add the following lines: over_voltage=6 ar...

Re: rec audio clicking/chopping on peaks
OK, I tried to replicate your results, if I do 2 rx @ 768k I can get breaks in the audio using XDMA. But, then I decide to do it from a VNC connection. With it connected and running pihpsdr in the VNC client window, it only takes 1 rx @ 48k and there are lots of audio breakups/glitches. It doesn't l...

Also if you can share a video/audio of it happening, that would be helpful.

I see the same voltages on U1 except for pin 5. Hi, Theoretically you shouldn't be able to erase/program the bootloader section of the eeprom using the network based programmers. You need to use the USB Blaster for that. I wouldn't use it unless your absolutely sure the bootloader code isn't working. Not sure if you have this doc: https://www.dro...

Hi Torrey, Sorry to hear your having such trouble getting P2 to work with your MkIII. You definitely have a EP4CE115F29C8N Cyclone IV series FPGA since the "26c" version sort of works and Metis_Orion_MkIII_P2_CV_21.7 does not work. The 26c is for the EP4CE115F29C8N Cyclone IV and would not...
