Fault found by use of a microscope! The ethernet chip is not set flat on the pcb, one pin row is highter than the one on the opposite site. One pin was not even soldered (LED driver).

The board is running P2 firmware again without any problem.

More data: With P2 firmware installed the OrionMKII does not work. The two leds D18 and D19 light up for a few seconds, then D18 goes off and D19 follows a seconds later.
