JTDX level and ALC

Hi guys, is anyone here using JTDX 2.0.1.135 ? Perhaps you could check something for me . On the pwr slider on the right hand side in order to get an ALC level of -1.0 in Thetis i have to set the Pwr level slider to -4.2 . Given that I have voicemeeter and TX gain set to zero should the ALC level no...

Re: Has anyone tried protocol 2 on Anan 100 hermes?

Update: I have now installed protocol 2 firmware 10.7 and Thetis 2.6.6 on my Anan 100. Everything is running great so far at 384 rate . I used bootloader program to load firmware. The VAC is really really solid at 512 buffer size and buffer latency of 30ms in and out . Not sure what port audio does ...

Re: Audio glitches: why do they occur?

Scott have you tried firefox as a test to see if it exhibits the same behavior? I use firefox here and everything seems very stable . I have the Anan on the motherboard ethernet port and a Wi FI adapter for internet, perhaps that is the difference maker.

Scott you mentioned on the mail list that potato drivers are better than banana , I wonder in what way are they better ? I'd appreciate if you could share your observations please.

Re: Unkey Blowouts

Blowouts are now not showing for me .I'm speculating but I think this may be a result of the change I've made to HPET referred to on the mailing list as it has made a definite improvement to my VAC dropout rate.

Yeah not really sure why it would degrade, perhaps some other variable in play . I'll try again when I get around to upgrading to P2

Could not see any noticeable change on protocol 1, but strangely when I reverted to original windows settings by deleting both reg entries I've had just one overflow in 3 hours and zero oops.

Re: Has anyone tried protocol 2 on Anan 100 hermes?

Rob, thanks for the info. If it runs ok on 384 I'd be pretty happy. I will probably give it a try soon if my 100 is not sold in the meantime , hoping to upgrade to the 7000. Once it gets close to 6M E's season I dare not change anything :-)

Hi Mike, did you ship it to Doug in the US for the repair or was it done in the UK ? Just wondering in case I ever have an issue that needs servicing.

I use JTDX here as well as WSJTX and i see no difference in CPU load between them. JTDX does have some options such as FT8 threads etc, maybe thats the issue ?

My Ryzen based PC does not seem to like potato at all ( a bit Ironic since I'm Irish) . Computer froze and even blue screened at one point. Back to voicemeeter banana for this cowboy for now.
