Hermes 2m/4m

Was listening to the team speak session this morning and was interested to hear that consideration is being given to putting a 2m capability on the Hermes board . I wonder if does this mean just a firmware change or will it only apply to newly made Hermes with updated components ? Would 4m also be p...

Re: Behringer CMD PL1 just installed

Thanks so much for the work on this Chris. As it happens I came across a website this evening in EU that has the CMD micro so have ordered one . I reckon with the multi speed on the wheels and the extra number of sliders it has over the hercules compact I will be more than happy with all the functio...

Re: Behringer CMD PL1 just installed

Hi Scott, indeed many thanks to Chris , his instructions meant I had this running in minutes. I've been using the hercules compact for quite a while Scott and although it does not have multi "fast" speed tuning I've had no problems using it. If I did not need to keep it to control AF level...

Behringer CMD PL1 just installed

Hi Guys, just got a behringer CMD PL 1 from Amazon warehouse . First off its a lot chunkier than my hercules DJ compact with a great big wheel which has the great advantage of multiple speeds when used as VFO control. It lights up really nicely and the push buttons are solid. Only slight downside is...

Yes as Scott says all you need do is uncheck "limit stitched receivers" . I'm using this right now at 384 rate.

Great work Scott, looks great . I'd be interested if you ever find out what the issue was with the Killer NIC as I was thinking of investing in one.

Re: Hermes Protocol 2 firmware v10.3 released

Indeed yes, I'm disappointed that Apache had not addressed this before I bought my radio as the Gigabit protocol was known about at the time. Doesn't sound to complicate but still customer have to open their radios and do the mod. to get the Gbit capability! And those who aren't able to do that? No ...

Re: Hermes Protocol 2 firmware v10.3 released

I understand why it was removed Scott but if I run at 192 as at present with Power sdr will I not lose some functionality with Thetis? For example on 6m band I can see over 500KHZ with "limit stichted Receivers" unchecked, when its checked i can see only 160khz or so.

Re: Hermes Protocol 2 firmware v10.3 released

I was wondering that myself. If its not possible then perhaps "stitched receivers" could be enabled in Thetis as a work around

Thanks Joe. Do you (or Simon perhaps) happen to know if the lower data rate will work with SDR console ?

Re: Videocard???

750TI works fine for HPSDR although as far as I know only SDR Console uses CUDA core. I think the GTX 950 is good value for the price if you want to use SDR console in the future.

Re: Anan 100 Xvtr RX BNC port

Playing around with settings here and when I clicked on "disable BYPASS" I seem to have Rx now through RX Xvtr. Are there any links to info to explain what "Disable BYPASS" does ? Edit: Just read this on http://anan-100d.wikidot.com/100d-psdr , Does this apply to the hermes board...

Anan 100 Xvtr RX BNC port

Is there a jumper setting to activate the Xvtr RX BNC port on Anan 100 hermes . I can get my Xverter to input via ANT 3 but not through the BNC Xvert port ? Are there other settings I need to change other than XVTR checkbox on 10m in ANT control on power sdr ? Sorry if this has been asked before, I'...

I usually listen back to Teamspeak on the weekends to get a handle on what progress is being made http://www.hamsdr.com/dnld.aspx . Unfortunately Phil's house got hit by lightning which has set him back timewise.

Re: ANAN 200D with Transverter

Hi Trev , I'm also interested in this as I plan to get a 4m xtvr . Like you i'm seeing the ANT1 signal coming through when 4m is selected , thought this should be completely dead as there is nothing connected to xvtr port yet. Using Anan 100, my guess is I'm missing some setting or checkbox.
