Re: GPU Questions

You can take advantage of the DirectX stuff right now. However, I can see the attraction of a 4K monitor (Ha! A pun!) For monitors, you can go with a 30Hz "business" type 4K monitor, rather than a 60 or 120Hz gaming monitor, which will cost a lot more. The spectral display is not terribly ...

Re: 2.6.8

PureSignal related firmware crashes (firmware crash defined as having to power cycle the ANAN hardware unit), are not related to Thetis, any version. Try a different version of the firmware (usually an older version). If you truly believe that Thetis is the problem then you need to identify what was...

Roger, Bottom line up front: try moving that cable from Orion J8 to Orion J9 and see what happens. In more detail... I have an 8000. I have never used the speaker outputs, or any audio input or output because I use VAC exclusively and because the hardware is located in a rack in the basement, not at...

Re: ANAN-8000 - Rear speaker out L-R

My best guess is that your ANAN is incorrectly assembled such that both speaker outputs are wired to the left channel amplifier output. You will have to look inside and see how it is wired, or send it back in for service.

In another topic, Hauke, VK1HW reports:
Fuse: MF-USML400-2 (Element14 277-6833) fits like a glove
So that means either the Bourns or Lttlefuse 1210 size 4A devices should work well.

Very good discussion, but let's try to keep this topic focused on Richie's awesome work. Please start a new topic if further discussion of the resampler is desired.

Re: 2.6.8

Well today I have tried Thetis c5 with P2 v1.7, v1.8, v1.9 (which has been working fine until today), v2.0 pre-beta. None of them are working well enough to use for any length of time, let alone reliably. I'm beginning to think it may be the current Thetis c5 and not the firmware. Don't know what c...

I have an occasional problem and I wonder if anyone else is experiencing it. I'm running 2.6.8 C5 along with v2.0 pre1 firmware on an 8000 board. I use VAC with Potato and sometimes when I start Thetis, my overflows/underflows just plain run away. I find I can usually fix this by simply unchecking ...

Re: 8000DLE internal noise - (switcher?)

There is a switching power supply in the 7000 MKII. It's built onto the Orion MKII card, same as it is in the 8000. That's how you get 5 and 3.3 from 12V on the card. But there is not the 12 to 50V DC to DC upconverter that the 8000 has.

Jim,

FWIW, I am unable to duplicate this problem.

It should not matter what PC or what radio hardware you are using.

Do other settings get saved? Is it only the PA calibration data that is not getting saved?

No bootloader switch on a 100D, it's a jumper that has to be placed inside on the Angelia card.

Or you can do what I did: add a bootloader switch.

I don't have a photo, but if you orient the Angelia card so that the ATX power connector is at the bottom left, then you will find F3 just above the right end of the power connector and to the left of the group of jumpers. It should be clearly marked on the silk screen. By the way, this was easy to ...

Perry, Seq errors are caused by badly out of order or missing data packets coming from the radio. To my knowledge, this has never been a fault of Thetis. Instead it is indicative of either a) a networking problem (rarely) or b) firmware not making timing on your specific hardware (almost always). Tr...

Also with reference to the alc change, does alc comp only go above 0 when alc reaches 0? Is there a doc/write up of all those meter modes? Hi Richie, That's exactly right. The closest you will get to a write-up on metering is to read the wdsp documentation that Warren put together. Thanks! Scott
