Re: HOT TX on WSJT-x

First: ensure that all sample rates everywhere are 48KHz. Mostly this means going into the Windows sound control panel and changing any VAC related devices to 48KHz. If using VMB, be sure to go into the separate VMB control panels (find them in the VMB folder in the start menu) and set them to 48KHz...

Re: Thetis 2.6.0 No Power-on

Mark, Assuming all else is 100% good, "socket error" sounds like a firewall problem. Try turning off the firewall. Also, for some reason I'm feeling less than confident that you have actually set all of your static IP addresses successfully. What happens if you open a DOS command prompt wi...

Re: WSJTX AND PWRSDR 3.4.9

"Enable PTT" in the PowerSDR CAT setup is only necessary if you are using serial port PTT. Since you are using CAT PTT this doesn't matter, on or off. "ID as" in the PowerSDR CAT setup also should not matter, it should work set to TS-2000 or PowerSDR. What version of WSJT-X are y...

Re: LatencyMon Benchmarks

Gary, It sounds like you are making progress. As for where LatencyMon and DPC Latency Checker set their pass/fail limits, I have no idea. I'd suggest, however, that anything that stalls the primary DSP processing thread in PowerSDR (or Thetis) for longer than either a half or certainly a full DSP bu...

Re: Thetis 2.6.0 No Power-on

They all need to be on the same subnet (normally the first three octets, e.g. 192.168.5). The final octet is relatively arbitrary. You can make them whatever you want as long as you can be certain that they remain unique. Every device on the same subnet must have a UNIQUE address. Otherwise you get ...

Re: Thetis 2.6.0 No Power-on

OK, since you are not assigning IP addresses that means that you are using APIPA. If I understand your posts correctly, the PC in question can communicate with the 100D setup with Protocol 1 firmware using PowerSDR, but not with the 100D setup with Protocol 2 firmware using Thetis. The latter 100D w...

Re: PiHPSDR Controller

The piHPSDR controller IS a computer, albeit a small one. It runs a variant of the Linux operating system called Raspian. It is just as complex to setup and maintain as a PC. IMHO, there is no advantage to it in this respect. The piHPSDR controller provides only a subset of the capabilities availabl...

The firmware is very, very alpha/beta and may not work on your radio.

You are probably doing everything correctly.

Re: Thetis 2.6.0 No Power-on

This is almost certainly a networking problem with the one PC. You still haven't answered all of my original questions. It would appear you are using a direct connection between the radio and the PC in all cases. Is that correct? If so, are you using static or APIPA addressing? If static, what addre...

It is a jumper issue. The documentation on the microphone configuration jumpers is rapidly disappearing into the sands of time. When I get a moment this week I will make a special post in this section documenting them. However, for right now, see this original Hermes documentation: http://openhpsdr....

Re: Thetis 2.6.0 No Power-on

You've got a real train wreck going on there. To do a "clean install", go to this hidden system directory: C:\Users\<your user name here>\AppData\Roaming\FlexRadio Systems Delete or rename the entire "PowerSDR mRX PS" directory. This will cause PowerSDR to start over from scratch...

Re: Thetis 2.6.0 No Power-on

This sounds like a networking problem, not a Thetis problem. How are your network connections wired? Radio direct to PC? Radio and PC to router/switch? How? Are you using DHCP? Static addressing? APIPA? If this turns out to be a network problem, I'll move the topic to the network sub-forum. 73, Scott

Re: TX spikes caused by VAC?

Geoff, I wouldn't think it is an audio card problem. The VAC connection between N1MM and PowerSDR (via Voicemeeter or VB-Cable?) does not touch your audio card in any way. Particularly if you are using VB-Cable, or have not selected a hardware audio interface in Voicemeeter Banana. BTW, ASIO4ALL is ...

Re: PowerSDR mRx and Anan 7000 on 630/2200 m ?

What's the problem? Does it not go into transmit mode at all? Or does PowerSDR go into TX but the hardware doesn't? Or does everything go into TX but no RF comes out? It all works OK on my 8000, although I've never successfully heard anything. So at the Orion MkII board level it should be ok (same b...
