Re: ANAN 8000 DLE Intermittent Audio frequency drift

Yes, this is almost certainly the resampler in VAC being unstable.

Show us a screen shot of your VAC1 settings please, and describe what the over and underflow counters are doing when you see drift.

Thanks,

PS misbehavior in firmware versions later than 1.8 is NOT "normal" for everyone. By saying that it is you might prevent someone from trying firmware that works better for them than 1.8.

I suppose I need to install the latest firmware before I can run Thetis? You need to install the latest, or almost the latest, Protocol 2 firmware to run Thetis. Protocol 2 explained: https://apache-labs.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=2380 A warning before you program the firmware: https://...

Hey Scott, i figured out the Pure Signal issue. I reinstalled the 1.8 firmware and all is A-Ok at this point. Pure Signal held in for an hours long QSO yesterday with no real issues. Every once in a while it would drop out but then it would come right back. After talking to some others running thes...

Re: Fun with SEQ Log :-)

This seems like a very minor problem. DHCP ack broadcasts should be relatively rare, even on a well populated LAN. Not saying it shouldn't be fixed, of course. I mostly get seq errors when I apparently oversubscribe the critical threads (get the red box). This could be proven by showing that all pac...

Re: Fun with SEQ Log :-)

Only thing I can think of is that the packet with delta of 5852366 was some random case of the packet being the correct length (1444 bytes) to pass the 'malformed packet check' but at a minimum the sequence number was corrupt. I am wondering now if these 'replay' events are just that the sequence n...

Hi Scott Regarding 2.6.9, I am wondering if an issue with channel scanning has been reported....Mike VE7DQC Mike, This is the first I've heard of it. I'm assuming this is with PCALE? CAT control works flawlessly for me hear with a wide variety of ancillary applications. And, as a one-time PCALE use...

I tried looking for memory leaks using ResMon. Let it all ride for 4 hours and results were inconclusive (numbers were too close to tell, some larger, some smaller). Perhaps it's not a good tool for the job.

Thanks for the comprehensive reply, Richie. I am limited to 30Hz monitors here, but there are three of them and they are all 4K. I can span the window across all three of them no problem. Re: 2.6.9

You can create a similar tune anomaly by setting your RF drive level very low, at least you can on the 8000. It has been this way for me well prior to Richie's contributions.

Re: 2.6.9

One other idea (or perhaps it's a misconception of mine?): would it be possible to have the database fully updated when the power (really run/stop--can we rename that?) button is in the off (stop) state? Not 100% sure about this because it's something I've never used or tested. There are three digital INPUT pins on the accessory connector. They are Pin 18 "Digital Input 2" Pin 7 "Digital Input 4" Pin 9 "Digital Input 1" I do not think the names mean anything at all. In ...
