Re: PowerSDR mRX PS 3.4.6 Released

OK, gent's, back from travel... a) This is not a new bug or behavior. b) It's not specific to AGC, it affects a lot of things associated with the program current state. c) The bug is associated with how and when PowerSDR stores it's current state into the database. This is all the information necess...

Re: 7000 fan noise

I recently went through a product development cycle that was faced with a similar problem. At certain fan speeds the fans rotors occasionally start precessing and this had the effect of inducing both a rattle and interfering with air flow. This was fixed by having the software stop and restart the f...

Re: RX2 RF output?

No way for RF to come out, but on some radios that input is grounded on transmit and some preamps don't like that. If you have a preamp like that it is cheap insurance to put a DC block in line with that connection.

Re: 7000 speaker jack question

There is no way to separately turn off the speakers with the current software. You will have to provision a separate switch if that is what you want. This is true on ALL openHPSDR architecture radios, as all ANAN's are, not just the 7000. The RCA PTT IN connector is only active if PTT is turned on i...

Why wouldn't it be OK?

A folder of 14 sample layouts comes with both the 32 and 64 bit downloads.

If you don't see them, re-download and look carefully.

Re: Data input to Anan 100D

Thanks Scott for your quick, thoughtful response. :) I can live with switching to DIGU for data. What audio input port is active when DIGU is selected? Whichever one you've selected. It is up to you. Line, Mic or VAC1. You pick, same as you do for any other mode. You choose between Line and Mic in ...

Re: N1MM+ with PSDR mRX on CW

Gary, Have you tried using the secondary port in Setup > DSP > CW? Use a virtual serial cable. Connect N1MM to that for keying. That is the intent of the secondary port. It's setup to accept straight keying from an external software app like N1MM. That way the primary port remains on "Radio&quo...

Prem, You must be doing something wrong. I just downloaded the latest TouchOSC editor. In the Layouts folder that it comes with there are no less than 14 sample layouts. Re: Data input to Anan 100D

Jim, Fancy, expensive modem! As you've probably noted, there is no way to simultaneously entertain a front panel microphone connection and a connection to the line-in on the DB25 connector. You have to go into Setup > Transmit and manually select one or the other. So although it seems like an obviou...

Re: PowerSDR mRX PS 3.4.6 Released

I can easily duplicate this problem. On 160M, on the 8000, I have a 10dB difference  between asserting 100W with TUN, and asserting 100W using a tone (I used Fldigi). This 10dB difference on TUN disappears as soon as I move the step attenuator once in any direction. This has caused me to make...

Stu,

If I'm reading this right, your feedback path loss is 47dB on 40M, 44dB on 30M and 41dB on 20M. Is that correct?

The reason that they are wired that way is because neither leg of the output of the 3W stereo speaker amplifier integrated circuit can be attached to ground. However, I agree, I would never have chosen to use a TRS connector for that connection. As rugged as it might be, and as convenient as it migh...

Rick, Don't get discouraged. I think the issue is that you've simply hit on a niche problem for which few, if anyone, has any input. People are not ignoring you, they just don't have an answer for you. I'll throw myself under this same bus: I never use quick record/playback in any mode, so have no e...

Re: How to set up VAC2 with VMB and the UMC202HD

Joe, This is possible. Not even hard, really. First, I'm sure you noted in my tutorial that you only get to use ASIO once. And if you didn't note that, you've certainly noticed it on your own. So you have to use something else for VAC2. I suggest starting with MME because it is more stable than WDM....

That tracks almost exactly with the configuration here. 192KHz main sample rate. Primary buffer 256. VAC buffer 256. ASIO at 96KHz. Buffer Latency 0mS. VMB to/from everything (WSJT-X, Pro Tools, Fldigi, etc.) Same stability. Same occasional buffer initialization issues, primarily on transmit. That l...

I can't say for sure, but my interpretation of "board dependent issues" is that the firmware wasn't making timing on every serial number board.
