Re: 2.6.8

Richie, Does Thetis even need the old renderer anymore? I can't think of a single system that won't use DirectX. You can probably remove all that duplicative code. Throwing another log on the UI improvement fire: ALC metering is really non-intuitive. ALC reads UP to 0dB, ALC COMP reads DOWN to 0dB. ...

Re: 7000DLE MKII - "Optional" external fan?

Jim,

There is no formal option in the Apache catalog. Any 12VDC fan should work. I don't know what the official current limit is, but I believe it is in the range of 500mA.

Re: Back panel Jack 6,35 L and R on 7000 DLE MK II

Hi Scott, pin 14 (SE / BTL) of TP0202 being ground indicates that it is operating in BTL mode. Can we say in this case that the outputs are not differential , as you write? In the ANAN-100 - 100D, is the ]27 3.5MM AUDIO of the schematic that we find on the back panel? Thank you 73 - Paco - F6DET Hi...

Hi Richie, Thank you for all your work concerning the CWX issue with CAT commands. Everything appears to be stable now. Well color me jealous of all those 4's and 5's, compared to my 9%. I'm guessing it's a matter of how many real cores your CPU has? My i7-7700k has 4 real cores whereas the Ryzen 7 1700 has 8 cores. Any real advantage in going beyond 30 frames per second? Not that I can detect. It has no impact on what your receiver hears, or it’s overall performance. It applies only to what you see on the display. Easy to compare 30 to 60. But the real WIN here is that now that the FPS part of the code has be...

So, two couple of possibilities : 1) Move the RX/TX passband when the IF edge is hit, but it will mean that whatever frequency you were on before is now lost. The RX/TX passband will now be on either edge depending which way you are tuning. 2) RX/TX disabled if outside IF, and the RF/TX passband le...

I have been testing using a GDI compliant DX2d surface. I will do some more testing but it looks like this method is not optimal. Greg, There is no reliable way to do this. Sometime you can do it and get lucky. Other times not so lucky. It depends on so many factors that it is literally impossible to predict with any success. Dave, You need a "non-blocking" gigabit Ethernet switch. A non-blocking switch will deliver wireline speeds between any two ports regardless of what the other ports are doing. Such switches need not be expensive. There is a Netgear 8 port GigE non-blocking switch on Amazon for under $20. I...

Sounds like it could be the PTC ("fuse") overheat issue.
