Rob... I'm sure your aware of the new SSD form factor name, but for those who may not it is referred to as M.2 SSD. The M.2 cards utilize the PCI Express bus rather than the eSATA bus which bottle necks the speed of SSD. M.2 SSD drives are up to five times faster than eSATA SSD drives for not much m...

Re: Pure Signal / wiring/ ANAN 8000DLE

Gary... I wasn't talking about case screws. It was the nuts inside and outside the case that hold the PS Feedback and Input connections in place. I too was skeptical that only that could improve my problem. In my mind it was a mechanical fix. Those nuts are not there to be loose, but it's the only c...

Re: Pure Signal / wiring/ ANAN 8000DLE

Gary... I took the top case off because in the process of changing configurations I found that the the PS case bulkhead nuts and also the 10dB attenuator were loose. I tightened the nuts inside and outside the case. I also checked for cold solder joints on the PS board while it was open. None were f...

Re: Pure Signal / wiring/ ANAN 8000DLE

Well I'm good with that. I can honestly say there a few things that were not as snugged up ( some SMA connectors and the attenuator) as they should have been. Don't know if that caused any issues but who knows. Which of the boxes on the right side of advanced tab of Amp View do you recommend checked...

Re: Pure Signal / wiring/ ANAN 8000DLE

Scott..
The external coupler was on the output of the amp with the 10dB attenuator inline on PS test 6.

PS test 7 on 17m, 1350w with internal coupler.
PS test 8 on 20m, 1430w with internal coupler.

Re: Pure Signal / wiring/ ANAN 8000DLE

Scott... Pure Signal test with amplifier and external coupler at 1300w on 17m. I know it's not with the internal coupler but thought I'd try this config as it was already intact. I can do it with internal coupler and QRO if you would still like. FYI... I took the top case off earlier today because t...

Here is the video testing Pure Signal with the stock coupler reconnected. Barefoot power levels at 50w, 100w and 120w. Sorry about the audio and pauses between power levels. No amp used.

Re: Pure Signal / wiring/ ANAN 8000DLE

Scott/Gary... Again, PowerSDR newbie question. I can't seem to get ALC above -0dB using either Line In Gain or MIC gain. What adjustment do you recommend to use? Max Gain in DSP > AGC/ALC tab? I know of one other using the OM2500HF and he is not seeing these blow-outs, but he is only one. I have cha...

Re: Pure Signal / wiring/ ANAN 8000DLE

Last check I was right at 0dB on the ALC but I'll recheck it. I'll order a 50 ohm terminator for the feedback SMA. The amp is an OM Power OM2500HF. I don't like seeing the blowouts and it usually is when feedback goes dark. I will bring ALC up to +1dB to be sure I'm hitting it hard enough. Can't bel...

Re: Pure Signal / wiring/ ANAN 8000DLE

Scott.. I am using a Xtronic XDC-4 coupler for PS feedback. With the loop connector disconnected on my 8000 and the "PS input" being fed, does the "PS feedback" SMA need to be terminated? I presently just have the loop connector attached and dangling. With the XDC-4 I am getting ...

Drive Lock Button

As a new Anan and PowerSDR OpenHPSDR mRX user I'm finding how easy it is to change settings by rolling over and touching the mouse wheel without realizing it. Most of these errors are no big deal and of little concern UNTIL, repeat, UNTIL you raise the drive power while using an amplifier. I would L...

Re: Orion Mk II 2.3 firmware released (current protocol/Protocol 1)

Scott... This from Doug when I asked him about what version he recommends I run. Carl, I did not change the firmware versions. The differences between 2.2, 2.3, & 2.4 are negligible. 2.2 to 2.3 had a freq switching point for the HPF changed from 1.5MHz to 1.8MHz because someone in Europe wanted ...

Re: Orion Mk II 2.3 firmware released (current protocol/Protocol 1)

Hi Scott... As a new 8000DLE owner I'm curious to know what the most current firmware version is? Most everything I see here shows 2.3, however mine clearly showed 2.4 on first startup. Sadly I've had issues with it right out of the box, of which Doug has confirmed since he received it yesterday. Th...
