Re: Anan 8000DLE Fan replacement

Scott... Thank you for that info. I did run the radio after installing the new fan. I had it up to 35C at one point and never heard the fan run. In the shack it can get above 25C (usually 26 to 27C) before ever transmitting. My thought was I may have over stressed the header removing the hot glue an...

Re: Anan 8000DLE Fan replacement

Scott... I pulled the bottom cover off and removed the noisy fan and dirty air filter. Then removed the top cover and cut the glue off the connector and removed it. The new fan came with a two pin connector which was not compatible with the three pin mount on the PA board. I cut the three pin connec...

Re: Anan 8000DLE Fan replacement

New replacement cooling fan has arrived for the 8000DLE. Can anyone that may have replaced the fan before tell me if it is done completely from the bottom of the radio? Also, is it a plug-in ( as the new fan is equipped, 2 pin) or does it require soldering?

Thx

Anan 8000DLE Fan replacement

My 8000DLE fan has begun to produce a intermittent, low level howl. I suspect the bearings are becoming worn (unit is three yrs old) and should probably be replace in the near future. Does anyone have a direct replacement fan model/part number, either OEM or third party that will work? TIA, Carl Lic...

LarryW... If you are using a Cat 5 Ethernet cable try switching to a Cat 6a cable. Cat 6a is rated for 10 gigabit speed and is shielded. I had the same issue of Thetis locking up intermittently and the Cat 6a cable fixed it. I have not had a lock-up since switching to Cat 6a five months ago. Carl NX5T

Re: Voicemeeter Potato (VMP) is here!

Somebody needs to tell me why running VAC is better then analog audio. I have none of the issues I read about with VAC and I think my audio is fine. I have no latency issues when using RX1 and RX2 simultaneously. No additional load on my system (which is more then capable). I'm not being a smart ass...

Richie...
2.7.0 a2 loaded and running great.
DPS/Options/ Filter size for SSB and General/ADC settings didn't carry over. Minor inconvenience.
Fyi... All previous lock-up issues appear to have been resolved with change from Cat 5 Ethernet cable to Cat 6a shielded cable.

PowerSDR acting erratically

Here is a short video of PowerSDR displaying some strange behavior causing relay opening and closing of short duration. Resetting the database has solved the problem. The database was reset, then an older database was imported to reload most of my settings. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zu_w8wkYNW...

Just when I thought I FINALLY had P2 and Thetis dialed in I've started experiencing lock-ups again. They are occurring so often I had to go back to P1 and PowerSDR to operate. I ran FW pre8 and Thetis 2.6.9 b6 for SIX WEEKS without a single sec error. I have tried numerous different combinations of ...

Not sure where it broke but I am on c2_1 and Pre8 FW. I can no longer get Quick Record to play back over the air. When in RX the audio will play when I hit Play, but if I am in TX it will not send the audio. I do see energy on the VOX meter, but not on any other meter. I also observe the TX EQ turn...

There's a lot of mystical, random and just generally goofy stuff posted on the internet about what settings to change on your Ethernet hardware to get better performance, mostly from gamers. Well, here's the advice straight from the horse's mouth, Intel, for the great many of us who have Intel netw...

I am running a dedicated Intel Gigabit CT card for my 8000DLE with Thetis b6 and P2 2.0 pre8. Pre8 with 2.6.9 b6 running like a champ for three days now.
No seq errors running with RX1 and RX2.
CPU usage lowest ever at 4-6% with RX1
Nice job!
