Re: Multi Meters Vfo Display
This is working as it should - here's why: When you create a VFO "meter" in a container, you specify the container as a TRX1 or a TRX2 container. If TRX1, then both VFOs are for RX1, and if TRX2, both are for RX2. Thus, if you have a VFO meter in a TRX1 container, when you activate RX2, VF...

Just to add another data point:
I loaded <Metis_Orion_MkII_Protocol_2_v2.2.2.rbf> into my ANAN-8000DLE using the the Protocol 2 HPSDR Programmer under Windows 11 Pro (new PC last month) without a problem. Now I'm running Thetis 2.10.3.6 x64 (1/20/24) dev_2 and everything seems to be just fine.

For simply listening for practice you shouldn't go into xmit at all. I don't have a G2 but this works for me with Thetis: CW Break-In (in main console) - OFF Sidetone check box - checked DUP - doesn't matter. Hit the paddle/key and you hear your CW via the side tone, adjust AF gain to desired level....

Bhanu, I have noticed something like this for a long time too, but it doesn't happen very often. In my case, after operating on air with Thetis and WSJT-X, if I then leave it running unused for an hour or two (for example if I'm occupied with something else) and then come back to use it later, WSJT-...

The database import function is fairly robust and is designed to scrub even a grossly corrupted database. It tries to tak...

Juha, I've been following this saga for a while with interest. If I'm reading your experiments correctly, we can conclude that: 1) Since all is well with Protocol-1, your problem is not relays or any other hardware part malfunctioning. 2) Since the problem happens with ADC0 and disappears on ADC1, t...

Yes, I have the full schematic of the V.14 PA/LPF board which shows a moderately complex PIN diode T/R structure. It's significantly different than prior boards.

Juha, FWIW, I've experienced a similar behavior and the cause turned out to be the same as mentioned here earlier by SM3PZG, a faulty coax jumper in my antenna switch arrangement. The symptoms were similar but not identical. I'd notice a drop off in noise floor and receive sensitivity on first power...

Re: No RF Output in QSK
Wish I could help you, Tom. But I've never seen this and can't bring to mind why this would happen. All I can offer is that in QSK mode Thetis never triggers MOX and stays in receive mode. That's why it's so good at hearing between CW elements. But as a result, some things that happen only when MOX ...

Re: Display showing my CW signal way higher than it is.....
By the way, Juha, you can also confirm you are actually transmitting where intended by switching to QSK mode. In that mode MOX is never activated and it's just like seeing yourself on a separate receiver. No panadapter scale shift takes place. The scale shifting with MOX happens whether CTUN is off ...

Re: Display showing my CW signal way higher than it is.....
I can confirm this happens - but it's a bug in the panadapter scale (frequency) markings, not in frequency control. Evidently when you go into transmit, it adds the XIT offset to the frequency scale. You actually do end up transmitting where you intended, 6kHz up, but the display shows it incorrectl...

Re: Identifying strange panadapter waveform
Yes, I've been using a dedicated Ethernet card/connection since I first got the rig. Also static IP address.
For the moment I'm blaming Windows and its Ethernet driver. I'm hoping when I upgrade my PC it'll solve the problem (currently using an i7 4000-series PC).

Re: Identifying strange panadapter waveform
I see this too. It's certainly not just a panadapter artifact since you can hear it on the transmitted signal with an external receiver. Tuned away from the carrier beyond the passband it sounds like clicks. It went away entirely after the "throttling" adjustment. Now it comes back randoml...

I may be wrong, but I doubt anyone could 100% predict all possible actions on the database. You're not wrong, Scott. If this is needed, then the software needs changing so you don't have to do this. We could do wit a definitive list of things that don't get re-imported, so they can be included. I have not spent any time looking at this tbh. I agree. The merge process you outlined above after "What does the m...
