Re: Memory function

Hi Gary, I never tried directly editing the RX frequency in the chart as you have described, but I brought up my Memory chart in OpenHPSDR and found that if I only edit the RX Freq column, it behaves exactly as you stated. The entry in the chart changes, but the actual received frequency does NOT ch...

Re: New PC Build: now UPDATED with overclocking performance

That was quite a project Scott! You were really thorough and the 30 degree drop is a nice payback for the effort. Nicely done! Although my cooling projects are not in the same league as your efforts, I have found with my gaming and radio computers that I have to remove my CPU coolers about once ever...

Nicely done Tony! I like the look of the data line against the panadapter background. It has a kind of twilight look to it!

Re: New Quick Setup Guide for the CFC Audio Tools - 8-18-2017

Glad you have it sorted out Tony. Yes, when I have not used the playback feature for awhile I nearly always forget to set the PTT override for VAC. It provokes one of those hmmmmm.... moments but I suppose it's good for the brain!

Re: New Quick Setup Guide for the CFC Audio Tools - 8-18-2017

Hi Tony, From your screenshot, it looks like you may be playing back an audio wav file while in receive mode. The PowerSDR mRx PS audio wav playback and quick play functions are only intended to play audio files while in transmit mode. My screen looks similar to yours if I play an audio file through...

Re: New Quick Setup Guide for the CFC Audio Tools - 8-18-2017

Hi Tony, If it sounds fine when playing it back on the PC then it most likely is the TX Gain setting in the "Wav File Controls" form. I can't recall what the default setting is but I do recall that I had to reduce the gain significantly to get the audio level close to the level of my audio...

Re: Buffert settings just for fun...

Primary Buffer Size is 512 and sampling rate is at 192KHz. My VAC buffer size is at 512 with a 48KHz sampling rate to match my UMC202HD interface sampling rate of 48KHz.

Smooth sailing with a Buffer Latency setting of 0ms with the new Resampler!

Re: 10 or 10E

Hi Chuck, I believe you can identify whether it is a 10 or a 10E by looking at the firmware version in the Hardware Config menu tab of OpenHPSDR. The ANAN-10 firmware will be in the 3.x series which is also used by the ANAN-100 rigs. The ANAN-10E firmware will be in the 1.x series which is also used...

Re: Balanced (XLR) microphone connections

Very nicely illustrated Scott, and it should be helpful to anyone running audio into the ANAN's 1/8 inch TRS MIC jack. When running a balanced microphone (typically found with studio dynamics) into an unbalanced input (like what is found with the 1/8 inch TRS jack of the ANAN rigs) I have always use...

Just a quick note to say that all the skins at my web site are now compatible with all versions of THETIS in addition to all the OpenHPSDR mRX PS versions. The new GUI elements and the radBandGEN buttons have been added to all the skins. Additionally, all the button packs have been updated with the ...

Re: Phase Relationship between VFO A and VFO B

Hi Mike, I'm not seeing that behavior here using OpenHPSDR mRX PS V3.4.9 with my 200D. In the video that I uploaded to YouTube the gain and phase remain the same, and the null is preserved, whether I step through the band stack or adjust VFO A. I'm using my 185 foot center-fed wire transmitting ante...

Hi Bill, As you said, it looks like the download links leading to the compiled versions of the V3 release are no longer good. I'm not sure what the exact status of the CuSDR project is at this time. Guess we will have to hold onto to the hope that V3 will reappear or that it will continue to be deve...

Re: Resampler causes crash

Hi Buck, The proximity of the antenna does make this problem a bit difficult to work with, however, the best tool I have found for finding RF ingress paths is a cheap field strength meter. Just hold the probe antenna near every wire that comes into your station and you'll quickly identify any that a...

Re: Angelia F3 PTC ("fuse") replacement/upgrade for Protocol 2

That's unfortunate Scott, but you would certainly not be the only one who did that. When I was researching this potential problem with my Hermes - ANAN-100 several users of the ANAN and the original TAPR versions of Hermes said that they went with the wire jumper and never gave it another thought. I...

Bernhard, I just looked more closely at your screenshots of PowerSDR mRX PS near the top of the thread and noticed that the SATT level was zero with the Bypass on TX enabled and also when disabled. If I enable RIT or XIT, the spacebar PTT control will function, however, as soon as a frequency value is entered for either RIT or XIT with the little up/down frequency buttons the spac...

It looks like running the auxiliary SDR receiver on the same computer as the ANAN adds all kinds of potential for ground...
