Re: 200D Protocol 2 users: what say you?

Just a brief update with Thetis v2.6.2 and Orion_NP_v1.3_TEST1.rbf firmware: I've been using Thetis for 5 hours straight and running it hard on 75 meter AM (without PS enabled) and 20 meter SSB (with PS enabled) and it has been very well behaved. I have not strayed from a sampling rate of 192 kHz ye...

Re: 200D Protocol 2 users: what say you?

Scott, ***I can confirm that Audio L/R is swapped compared to OpenHPSDR v3.4.9 ***My RX-2 is working fine with good sensitivity through either ADC0 or ADC1. However, it looks like RX-1 and RX-2 are using DDC2 and DDC3 and I think OpenHPSDR uses DDC0 and DDC1. So... if someone is not aware of that th...

Re: 200D Protocol 2 users: what say you?

Rick, Thank you for posting the 1.3 TEST version of the firmware. This is the first protocol 2 firmware version for me where Pure Signal works perfectly from 160 through 6 meters with my 200D! I have to admit that after testing it on all bands into the dummy load that I have not yet made any contact...

Re: Quirks with Thetis

I would echo that I also experience the disappearing PS issue that Jeff has outlined above. My 200D (FW 1.3) running Thetis 2.6.1 will run fine for several minutes and then PS will simply stop correcting. Sometimes it will resume on its own but other times it will get quite stubborn and require inte...

Re: 200D Protocol 2 users: what say you?

Scott, I have used P2 firmware v1.3 and Thetis v2.60 with my 200D for casual operation on the 160 and 75 meter bands and it has been stable there. The Pure Signal protocol does not work well on 40 meters (AmpView displays a very confused looking graph) and on 20 meters and above it does not work at ...

Re: ANAN-100 low 10/12m output with LPF enabled.

Ed, Back in 2014 when I first had my ANAN-100 there was an issue with low power output on 12 meters if the firmware version that was released for the TAPR Hermes board was used with the ANAN version of Hermes. Typically, within a few days of a firmware release Abhi would re-map the LPF in the firmwa...

Thanks for the M.2 SSD name for these slot-mounted drives. A 5X speed boost is a very significant performance improvement! I can feel that urge beginning to take hold to build another "fire breathing beast".

Hi Mark, I believe the Angelia board MIC jumpers are in the same area as the Hermes MIC jumpers, right behind the 1/8 inch input jacks. With my ANAN-100 that I sold last year it was about a 15 minute job to drop the front panel and reach in with tweezers to arrange the jumpers as needed. Add another...

Hi Bill, Keep an eye on the ATT field down at the lower left of the GUI. I think above and below 15 MHz you will see a different attenuation level by default when you tune either lower or higher than 15 MHz. If you set the 15 MHz ATT level to the same as 14.999 and 15.001 the RX behavior should be t...

You can also use the HPSDRProgrammer to flash from protocol 1 to protocol 2, however, it is un...

Primary Buffer Size is 512 and sampling rate is at 192KHz. My VAC buffer size is at 512 with a 48KHz sampling rate to match my UMC202HD interface sampling rate of 48KHz.

Smooth sailing with a Buffer Latency setting of 0ms with the new Resampler!

Very nicely illustrated Scott, and it should be helpful to anyone running audio into the ANAN's 1/8 inch TRS MIC jack. When running a balanced microphone (typically found with studio dynamics) into an unbalanced input (like what is found with the 1/8 inch TRS jack of the ANAN rigs) I have always use...
