Re: Thetis 2.6.4: Major New Release

A nice surprise from Doug tonight as Thetis v2.6.5 has been released at the TAPR GitHub repository: https://github.com/TAPR/OpenHPSDR-Thetis/releases I gave it a brief run and it behaved very nicely with my ANAN-200D from 160m - 6m. The long shutdown experienced with v2.6.4 was certainly addressed a...

Re: Thetis 2.6.4: Major New Release

Scott, Just an observation that might be similar to what Phil is seeing. Using my 200D with firmware version 1.8 (flashed with the Bootloader) it seems that Pure Signal is not able to correct when the rig is first powered up. Initially, the feedback light will flash appropriately but the correction ...

Re: Thetis 2.6.4: Major New Release

Thetis 2.6.4 with my 200D (Orion) flashed to F/W version 1.8 has been running smoothly so far with about 3 hours total running time since I upgraded from F/W version 1.7. I have not yet run into the PTT crash issue that Jeff and Gary have observed with the 7000 (Orion MKII) series rigs but I'll be r...

Re: Thetis 2.6.4: Major New Release

As I recall, when I changed my text size from the Default value (100%) in the Windows display settings I saw a string of Console errors that looked like that when I tried to start up OpenHPSDR. I wonder if the same thing happens with Thetis? Is there any chance you guys are running either the Medium...

Re: Thetis 2.6.4: Major New Release

Just a quick note that all the skins on the download page for Thetis and OpenHPSDR have been re-packed and uploaded at this time. They are now fully compatible with Thetis version 2.6.4 and all the buttons and sliders should display correctly in both the Expanded and Collapsed GUI modes. For those w...

Thanks Scott. Looks like firmware version 1.7 for the 200D just arrived (Thank you Rick - N1GP!) at the GitHub repository so I'll be installing that in a few minutes. Changing the "Power" button to "Run" and "Stop" is a good idea. I'll add that to my short list of thing...

Re: Audio glitches: why do they occur?

Interesting observation about the "golden" sampling rate of 192K Gary. I rarely stray from 192K and have not observed any audio glitches since the resampler was implemented. That being said, I experienced them frequently when my ANAN was connected to my computer through the router. I have ...

Re: SDR Console issue Anan 7000DLE

Re: My Diveristy Adventures

Hi Perry, I'm not sure which ANAN hardware you are running but as Gary said, the RX2 port needs to be switched away from the antenna and grounded when you transmit. Some of the ANAN hardware does this internally, but some of it does not. My ANAN-200D does not ground the RX2 port so I use an external...

Re: Cannot Transmit CW (SDR-Radio Console 3.0.5 and Anan 100D)

Simon released another version on 2/26/2019 (v3.0.6 build 1431) which I just installed. It transmits fine, so perhaps there was something that got fixed as the 3.0.5 versions and the 2/25/2019 build of 3.0.6 would not work for me. I've only been running the latest update for a few minutes but as far...

Re: Cannot Transmit CW (SDR-Radio Console 3.0.5 and Anan 100D)

Hi John, I took a quick look at 3.0.5 and also 3.0.6 and found that my 200D would no longer transmit with those versions. I jumped back to 3.0.4 and all was well again. I did not go through all the menu settings other than the Radio Configuration menu, which looked fine, so I don't know what's going...

Jack, A stock radio will come with protocol 1 installed so the HPSDRBootloader would be your best option if you have already tried the HPSDRProgrammer without success. If you have not done so already, be sure to read over Scott's excellent post regarding the dependencies (bootloader switch and WinPC...

Re: Orion 5.2 firmware released (current protocol/Protocol 1)

My 200D is probably a lot like yours as Pure Signal would not work with 5.1 or 5.2, so I rolled back to version 5.0 which works perfectly. The two newer versions offer no additional features as Joe was exploring some different approaches in the firmware to see if the end result would be more compati...

Carl and Tony, When I enabled RX2 and viewed the panadapter, there was no sign of the event in the panafall display, which I think confirms that the anomaly is only present in the local RX1 display. I also messed around with the RX Delay setting and found that the unkey event was present even with t...

Carl, Well, it appears to be something that my 200D does also, whether I am running one of my amps or not. I just never noticed it! I don't think it's anything to worry about as it seems like a local RX display event. That's just my 2 cents! The screenshots below show the amp not engaged first, then...

How do things look in the display when you unkey without the amplifier engaged? Just wondering if the display is responding to a condition/event that is outside the ANAN or inside the ANAN.

Hi Carl, Looks like you are running the most up-to-date software and firmware which is almost always the best route to go with. Here is my guess: If AmpView looks fine, it may just be a momentary glitch in the RX as seen with DUP enabled as the rig transitions from TX to RX (or RX to TX). I found th...

Hi Tony, I no longer have my ANAN-100 but before I sold it back in April 2017 my Hermes ANAN-100 worked pretty well with the protocol 2 version that was out at that time. It looks like there is newer firmware now and Thetis has also evolved so you might find that it works quite well. I had good luck...

Hi Dave, That's an interesting development following your latest firmware flash. As soon as i adjusted it both RX-1 and RX-2 ...

Re: Orion (200D) and Orion MKII (7000 & 8000) users: P2 v1.4 released

Hi Rick,

I ran into the same problem as Bill - NL7F. In spite of the LED behavior at the ANAN network port responding correctly, Thetis could not connect to the 200D. The P2 Programmer also could not see it. The Bootloader utility took me back to P2_pre1 without any problem.
