Hi Ken,
I own both. Due to crosstalk issues on the old 100 PA board, predistortion will not work as well as it should.
My recommendation: sell the 100 and buy a new 7000 DLE (II).

Re: Low transverter output
Hi Graeme,
using my 7000 DLE (no MKII) I can get abt. 0 dBm at a gain setting of 72. The output is very clean (IM3 abt -50dBc). Did you enable the checkboxes "XVERT RF TX" and "Disable PA" for your (hopefully) enabled transverter?

Scott, my station is only half SDR. I am using a Microham MK2R+ to manage my K3 and my ANAN (SO2R). So I have connected my ANAN (Thetis) to the Micromham router using COM1 of my PC (getting 2 virtual ports back via Microham USB connction and controlling my Ultrabeam antenna). Thetis- MIDI and CAT Control Interaction
Hello, during the last UHF Contest I was using my 7000DLE as an exciter for a new 70cm transverter (Thetis 2.7.0, Hardware Com port 9600 Baud to Microham device, MIDI DJControl Compact). Any time I was suffering from VFO overshooting when turning the VFO wheels quickly. Disabling CAT contol solved t...

Forget about OC, run serial using DDUTIL which can control SPE amps. I finally succeeded in coupling with my ACOM via DDUTIL.

Scott's hint (checkbox "DEMO/HPSDR" in DDUtil > Setup > Features) was all I needed. Works now, even with microham virtual port assignment. DDUTIL seems to be fixed to 9600 baud com port speed. Higher speed would be appreciated. Is there any chance to choose a different speed? TNX Volker

my question:

thanks

ANAN 7000 DLE connecting to ACOM 2000A via DDUTIL
Hello experts of DDUTIL configuration, I have been running my 7000 DLE together with my 2000A via CAT+ using Thetis or (formerly) 3.4.9 mRX for a long time. Now I am experimenting with DDUTIL (Version 3.2.5). - what are the real settings on ACOM side and in DDUTIL? I cannot configure 1200 Baud in th...

Re: 7000DLE Mk-II PTT IN issue?
Exactly!
I am using a Microham MK2R+ (internal Winkey chip) to key both my 7000DLE and my K3 in SO2R. An external PTT hardware contactor did never switch any of my ANANs into (CW) transmit mode. This would be highly appreciated....
As far as I remember, this is not a new discussion.

Re: Level Cal adjustment for 7000DLE
Last weekend I successflly moved from P1 to P2 (Thetis 2.6.8 c5) with my 7000 DLE. Checking my S- meter readings with my XG3 I noticed that they were 8 dB too low. So I tried to perform a level calibration on 30m like I did "in the old world" (P1) with PSDRmRX. But I was only able to chang...

Hello Roger,
yes, it's a new fan from NMB running at fixed speed. I am happy with it. As far as I've been told, all higher serial numbers of model 7000 DLE were supplied with this fan.

Hi Tony, unfortunately not. For 4m I am using an internal Transverter for my K3 (made by EA7HG, IF 28MHz) However, I have created a test configuration and checked it with my 7000DLE/ DB6NT 432 MHz transverter (fooling it, HI) - I was able to hear a beacon on 432.473 with the reading of 70.473 MHz - ...

Hello Scott,
- when I try to configure the right button "1" you are using als "SQL" on my DJ Console Compact, I get the same ID reply as I get from the right wheel (49). So I cannot use both at the same time. Did you have the same problem?

Gary,
I did not expect this from the new MKII. I have been suffering from low output/ high IMD (without PS) on 10 an 17m with my 7000 DLE right from the beginning.
Good luck

Hello Experts, some external keyers using a winkey chip (e.g. MicroHam) offer the option of generating a ptt signal during transmission. This signal does key the orion board (RX is muted an MOX is visible) BUT seems not to key the PA unit. Somehow strange..... The switching of the PA seem only to be...
