Re: Wave Record/Play function not working properly
Ok, found a bit of weirdness, with VAC enabled, made a quick front panel recording, tried to xmit the playback, this did not work as noted in prior posts. But, was able to xmit the playback with VAC disabled. This method also works for recordings made via the Wave panel while VAC is enabled, xmittin...

Re: Wave Record/Play function not working properly
Hmmmm, using Thetis v2.7.0 (3/1/20) MW0LGE (a3); I can report that the front panel quick record and playback works and can xmit the playback without any issues. Additionally, I can also utilize the Wave panel Record button and routine of clicking the Add button to select the newly recorded .wav file...

Re: 7000 and 8000 Protocol 2 users: what say you?
I had the same result as others with the v1.6 repo and my 8000, reverted back to v1.6 pre and that setup with Thetis v.2.6.2 restores the stability regarding SEQ errors, Pure Signal etc... On a side note, v1.6 pre with Simon's latest v3.0.4 SDR Radio console is also quite stable...

Re: 7000 and 8000 Protocol 2 users: what say you?
Hi Scott, completely concur re; UDP packets being on the low end of priority & network congestion although albeit in reality it appears to be maybe one or a few packets involved, question for you, do you know where the Sequence number resides in the packet, i.e.; is it part of any header or is i...

Re: 7000 and 8000 Protocol 2 users: what say you?
Ok, here are some observations that may offer up some data as to how/what/where/why the Seq indicator blinks. I ran some long duration Wireshark captures to observe the UDP traffic going back and forth to my 8000 and the Win 10 PC running Thetis 2.6.2 and FW 1.5. I have to preface this by saying tha...

Re: Thetis v2.6.0 crashes when using Quick Record
Hello Manny, I too see this same bug using quick record / playback while trying to do a second recording / playback. I've found that the quick record / playback will work multiple times if you key up the radio xmit Mox button and transmit the playback / unkey the radio back to receive and you'll be ...

Re: HTTP Server?
I know this thread is old but I was able to get the http server working by turning off Thetis, selecting the "On: Advanced" check box shown on the Cat Control/User Interface setup screen, turning on Thetis then browsing to the local IP 127.0.0.1:8081 port # address. Selecting "On: Bas...

Re: GPSDO Tutorial?
While on the topic of external GPSDO devices, I have a question I'd like to throw out to anyone that has an answer regarding the 8000 and the 10Mhz external input. On the main board this input traces back to, there are two jumpers labeled J24 and J22, the schematic shows these as "EXT CLK GND&...

Re: Continuous Frequency Compressor (CFC) questions
Hi Warren, this is good stuff, thank you for Replying. I did see the release notes prior to my posting and very much appreciate you taking the time to further the explanations. Another question for you; how easy would it be to use the same methodology of the CFC routines to create a CFL (continuous ...

Continuous Frequency Compressor (CFC) questions
Hello, can anyone point me in the right direction to find more information on what the CFC sliders are doing for the individual frequency bands? I can certainly hear a difference when making changes to the sliders and their associated frequencies. But, normally when I work with a typical compressor ...

Re: Way to limit AF?
Hello Buck and everyone, I ran into this same scenario, loud/strong USB signals in a group mixed with weak/softer ones, using headphones became a problem for me with the loud/strong stations boosting the audio & AGC Gain to hear the weaker ones. I found some success using the AGC Slope setting l...
