Re: Thetis 2.8.11 Released!

I do still see the startup glitch that causes the counters to take off but once I click Manual on Buffer Latency a time or two that solves the problem until the next startup. I also see what others have mentioned regarding Pure Signal not working randomly and a power on reset is required to get it ...

Re: Thetis 2.8.11 Released!

Doug,

The OC EXT CTL button is working again. I have no idea what caused it to start functioning. Possibly a reset of either the software or 7000DLE a few days ago. Anyway, all is well for now.

Re: Thetis 2.8.11 Released!

Doug,

EXT OC CTL button working but as soon as VFO A is moved when the button is off, it reverts back and re-engages all checked OCs. I ensured to click APPLY before exiting. No change.

Re: Thetis 2.8.9 Released!

EXT CONTROL not functioning in 2.8.9. The button is back in the menu but there's no control of the OCs. Deactivating the EXT CONTROL button should disengage all checked OCs but doesn't. The checked OCs are still active with EXT CONTROL turned off.

Can anyone else confirm?

Re: Thetis 2.8.8 Released!

EXT CONTROL now missing in the OC Control setup window in Thetis 2.8.8 (see image attachment from version 2.7.0.) That's a real handicap for me, possibly others. I routinely go in and quickly activate/deactivate global OC control with one click to route Orion II RF and some other functions to the ba...

That's awesome, Scott. I moved the default to "FX" for both button banks and it cleared the issue. I do have a P-Touch printer with black-on-clear tape but I may need to purchase a white-on-black cartridge. I didn't think one of the MIDI controllers would be right for me but I'm enjoying i...

In the Button Down Event field put SSYY7F. In the Button Up Event field put SSYY00. Understand that this is not a modeless function. The state of the button lighting only follows MIDI button presses. Would it be difficult to measure the return loss of your coupler? Just curious to see if there is an impedance problem lurking. I can do it as time permits, but keep in mind I've made IMD measurements using three different RF samplers that yield the same result. The only RL measurement that I had c...

You may have already done this, but if you have access to an Xtronic coupler I wonder if that would make any difference in the measurements? Re: Step attenuator linearity

Scott, My DUP display does track with the S/A until the non-linearity occurs and PureSignal can no longer linearize. You have not yet reached a point of non-linearity with the HP measurement. As such, I would expect your result. It would be helpful if you varied coupling to the point where IMD is re...

Pure Signal works on 160 with the internal sampler. Any ideas? Power level doesn't make any difference. Greg N8MW G...

Re: 8000DLE internal noise - (switcher?)

There is a switching power supply in the 7000 MKII. It's built onto the Orion MKII card, same as it is in the 8000. That's how you get 5 and 3.3 from 12V on the card. But there is not the 12 to 50V DC to DC upconverter that the 8000 has. Well, yikes. Looks like I need to 'cruise for spikes' with th...
