Re: Guidelines For Best Transmitted Signal Quality With Digi Modes

It's not just the MODE that is incorrect. The BANDWIDTH display is also incorrect.

As mentioned, the actual operation is okay.

Re: Guidelines For Best Transmitted Signal Quality With Digi Modes

Hi Scott, If you check the box to turn on the Display,General, Other setting to Small mode/filter on VFOs when you are in DIGU mode with split on what do you see in the VFO B box for the mode and the filter width? Here is what I see: DIGU Capture.PNG It has nothing to do with WSJX-X at all which I h...

Re: Guidelines For Best Transmitted Signal Quality With Digi Modes

Hi Scott, Thanks for the response on the transmit bandwidth. Back to my second question. I am NOT using MultiRX and NOT using RX2. I am simply in ordinary split mode. I am pointing out that VFO B is showing LSB as its mode while VFO A is showing DIGU as its mode. Is that expected behavior in split m...

Re: Guidelines For Best Transmitted Signal Quality With Digi Modes

1. What should the transmit bandwidth be set for in FT-8 using WSJT-X? 2. I have Show mode/filter on VFOs turned on (in Thetis) and when set up for FT8 and VFO A displays DIGU and Var 1. That seems right but VFO B is showing LSB 2.9k right now. Should it be showing DIGU? and if so, how do I change i...

Re: Glitches in TUNE signal viewed with Duplex on

Thanks for the response. OK, I haven't seen the red box since changing to DirectX. Current FPS is 60. It was my distinct impression that there were and are fewer horizontal bursts after changing to DirectX. Would changing the FPS setting lower be of benefit when there is not a red box? Would there b...

Re: Glitches in TUNE signal viewed with Duplex on

Thank you. I have to confess to not knowing about those settings nor of knowing what the red square meant. I have switched to DirectX and the red square went away. Should the change have a favorable effect on the problem I have been experiencing or was it just an unrelated issue you spotted? Again, ...

Re: Glitches in TUNE signal viewed with Duplex on

Hi Mike In Protocol 1, under the Audio Tab, there was Primary, VAC 1 and VAC 2. Primary looked to be some kind of sound card equivalent: Protocol 1 Primary Sound Card Setup.PNG I'm guessing the Protocol 2 equivalent of the Primary Audio is what the TUNE signal travels over and that if there's an aud...

Re: Glitches in TUNE signal viewed with Duplex on

Mike, Yes, I have a Dell unmanaged gigabit switch with CAT7 double shielded LAN cabling to the 7000 and to the PC. I'm not seeing any positive or negative SEQ errors, so probably no packets lost between the radio and the PC and vice versa. I can however install another Ethernet card and re-configure...

Mike, I'm having the problem with VAC turned off so I guess I don't understand how would changing from MME to Windows DirectSound say affect the use of the Tune button in Thetis with the enable VAC1 checkbox unchecked? I had to run Process hacker as Administrator to do that but I did it. However the issue continues.

Glitches in TUNE signal viewed with Duplex on

Have a 7000DLE MKII with 2.0b Protocol 2 firmware and 2.6.9 Thetis. Making contacts with WSJT-X using VAC and seeing horizontal wide glitches in my transmitted signal (Duplex ON). Re: Voicemeeter Potato (VMP) is here!

Yes, that has been the first thing I did upon opening Voicemeeter (or Banana or Potato). If I watch the UMC control panel while making that Hardware Output selection in Voicemeeter the ASIO driver status goes to Active so I know it is not being ignored. The Behringer UMC202HD driver is 4.59.0 by the...

Re: Voicemeeter Potato (VMP) is here!

Unfortunately, I had already followed those steps twice before posting. But I did it again today. Uninstall Voicemeeter and UMC202HD, reboot, install, reboot and the end result is the same: no ASIO choice for Hardware Input. There are other choices including the UMC202HD drivers as WDM and MME but n...

I have not been able to either manually select UMC ASIO Driver for hardware input 1 or have it automatically selected. Is there a way to search for VB-Cable in this forum? The hyphen is ignored and VB-Cable is treated as two separate words. Then the VB is ignored because it is only two characters.
