7000DLE MKII - 9-pin connector pinout

I have a new-to-me black-face 7000DLE MKII (thanks Don and Chas!), and am trying to identify the correct pins on the 9-pin rear panel connector. Thetis (Setup > General tab > OC Control sub-tab > HF sub-sub-tab) shows 7 control bits, labeled 1 through 7. I found a silver-face 7000DLE MKII manual on ...

Re: Thetis v2.9.0.8 - meters and then some more

I realize Richie has very limited time. And I am so thankful for the fantastic progress and improvements that he has made recently with regard to metering, containers, and UI flexibility and appearance. But there are some bugs related to the handling of the RX2 VFO and its container. Perhaps they're...

Hello Richie and Ernst, Since the tuning eye is all about nostalgia, why not make it look like the 1930s, when the "magic eye" was first introduced? Consider adding the deco escutcheon below. This image is adapted from this page on one of my websites, Radiophile.com . I took the pic myself...

FB Richie! The TX multimeter is awesome! I'm looking forward to the future refinements. (Such as giving users a choice of colors per meter, and a choice of which meters to display.)

Re: Options to choose different CW logic

I'm pretty sure a 1N4007 is not a PIN diode. It isn't, but at the 100W level, power diodes can function as PIN diodes. I know the Yaesu FT-1000, Icom IC-7600 and IC-7610 use power diodes. The typical circuit I've seen uses a small, near-silent reed relay to switch receiver to antenna during receive...

Re: Thetis v2.9.0 - Updates and Issues

Hi Richie. That's a nice representation of an analog meter, but I don't see how it could work as a practical TX multimeter. There would need to be multiple color-coded scales and multiple corresponding color-coded pointers (or independent pointer segments). Months ago Erwin posted a great approach t...

Feature request: Under <General><Options>, engage the CW DELAY times when in semi break-in CW, but force those fields back to zero when QSK is engaged. Feature request: Under <General><Options>, engage the CW DELAY times when in semi break-in CW, but force those fields back to zero when QSK is engaged. Re: Low latency filtering quality

Some comments. 1. Low-latency filters add artifacts to the received audio that I can hear. For this reason I have switched to linear phase filters for all receive situations. For minimum latency I set Buffer Size to 64 (the minimum) and Filter Size to 1024. The filter size setting gives slightly wid...

If I zoom way in so that my receive bandwidth fills most of the panadapter width, the cursor of course changes to the <o> cursor inside the bandwidth shading. This cursor never disappears when I move it within this bandwidth. A clue, perhaps?

Countdown ID timer
I request that the ID timer count down instead of count up. In my experience timers always or almost always count down. It's just the natural order of things!

At least, please make down an option in the timer's Options-2 setup dialg.

Cursor issues: 1. About half the time, the regular + cursor disappears after I stop moving the mouse. It reappears as soon as I move the mouse again, then disappears again about half the time when I stop. And so on. Seems totally random. The issue exists in both the panadapter and the waterfall. A very belated thank you Scott, for answering my question.

I find myself falling back into old operating habits, formed from decades of using non-SDR transceivers with knobs, and forgetting to explore and use all the wonderful capabilities we have with SDR and Thetis.

I would love to see the implementation of an analog-type meter such as the one that is available in the Genesis SDR variant of PowerSDR. If you want to do that, I won't protest. We have a Shift slider on the console UI. Having the same behavior with CTUN off and on is the most important. Then, I just hope that you will also get rid of the <o> cursor when inside of the filter bw,
