Re: RX1 AF level with WSJTX

Scott I have the very latest "bleeding edge" JTDX and it does not have full automation so far. Given the amount of bad local TX's I would hate it if it did :-)

Re: RX1 AF level with WSJTX

I also use waterfall zero and waterfall gain in JTDX software to get the waterfall looking right.

Re: RX1 AF level with WSJTX

Thanks for the responses guys. Using voicemeeter banana here so have the VAC Rx gain at Zero , RX AF at 100 and I then back off the fixed AGC so I get just above 30db on JTDX receive level indicator on 6m when no signal present . Just guesswork on my part to be honest as if memory serves I previousl...

RX1 AF level with WSJTX

Just curious as to what guys generally set the level of RX1 AF to when using WSJT X for best signal to noise ratio on receive ?

You are right Scott, it does not sit well with this topic on reflection. I'll start a new one.

Re: "Sticking" Relay on ADC 1 and 2 Receive

Conrad you may remember my 6M LNA failed and even though I bought direct Abhi at Anan was able to arrange for it to be looked at in the UK and I think there may also be a tech in Spain, perhaps this might be an easier option than sending to India or USA.

Nice work Scott . I thought i was doing well just getting the memory to be recognised correctly :-) I get the odd blue screen here under stop code "memory management" , I love that these errors are so non specific (not) :-)

Re: Microphone input

Hi Bill, yes you can do this , take a look at the check boxes on the VAC 1 tab that start with "Allow PTT to overide/bypass VAC for phone" , you have three choices depending on how you key up TX.

Modified skin

Hi guys, I'v been using the "brushed metal "skin kindly provided on Rob's website http://www.w1aex.com/hpsdr/hpsdr.html and decided to do some minor tweaking. This is what I've come up with https://www.dropbox.com/s/w823o6d60rbyw8s/Screenshot%202018-05-28%2014.56.25.png?dl=1

Re: New Quick Setup Guide for the CFC Audio Tools - 8-18-2017

Thanks Rob , you are absolutely right . Once in TX mode it all works , just had to make sure PTT was overriding VAC as I use VAC to feed mic in usually. Thanks for the high quality audio file, very useful for test purposes.

Re: New Quick Setup Guide for the CFC Audio Tools - 8-18-2017

Hi Rob, I made a mic recording using audacity and although it sounds fine on PC playback, when I use powersdr wav for replay its sounds way overdriven. Same thing happens if I use "quick record" on wav file controls . Any idea what I am missing ?

Well put Gary, I agree with all your points especially that Apache should take more of a lead here. I have nothing but admiration and appreciation for the work the volunteers do.

Some settings not saving

Hi guys, I have a TX profile set up for SSB audio which has CFC and TX EQ enabled but when I go to another profile and back again both these settings are unchecked . Any ideas on what step I am missing ? I click on apply, OK and then save the profile in the transmit tab.

Re: New PC Build: now UPDATED with overclocking performance

Thanks Scott, that's reassuring about the UDP protocol. I've set the VAC to 512 as you kindly suggested , the UMC control re sets to 512 if I try to select 256 . With the latest version 4.38 UMC control panel there is no longer a drop down box , just a check box for "safe mode" which is un...

Re: New PC Build: now UPDATED with overclocking performance

Further update, MSI released a new motherboard BIOS (Ryzen 1700) a few weeks ago and the ram is now running at the correct 3200. Running a primary buffer of 512 and VAC 1 buffer of 1024 and the resampler (great tool) seems pretty happy with low enough numbers over time. Also running a behringer UMC2...

Thanks for the info Scott . Showing as $89.99 here (plus vat) in EU which is a great price. https://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-10MHz-Sinwave-PLL-GPSDO-GPS-DISCIPLINED-OSCILLATOR-adapter-GPS-ANT-/262038924752?hash=item3d02bcadd0 I see Leo Bodnar has a single output for £100.00, I wonder which one is better...
