Glad you got sorted out. Scott has an excellent tutorial on voicemeeter also worth a read to reduce latency etc.

Re: 2nd RX has no antenna

Bob , having mon on is your issue , there's some latency happening which causes the echo. I use voicemeeter here for audio routing and this will allow you to monitor without the audio going back into the TX path on your digital software if you wish. Having mon on for digital modes will mess up your ...

Re: Noise blanker/reduction settings?

Hi Dave, I use NB quite a bit on 6m FT8 and although it does create images of the signal i have not found to to lessen the decode efficiency. What level do you have it set at if I may ask ?

Re: A few n00b questions

Yes you can have different profiles for digital mic etc which is useful as DIGU mode will disable all the audio tools like CFC etc The band stack will also remember each profile per freq

Re: 2.7.0

Hi Larry, voicemeeter banana or potato software can do this for you if you use a digital interface for your mic. Probably needs its own topic though as its not planned for Thetis as far as I know so perhaps Scott can split this off.

I am currently using ME4T for 4m on separate RX/TX lines. with a PTT interface. I have used DEM in the past and found them to be excellent units also.

Motu M4 interface

Just got the MOTU M4 interface to replace my UMC 204 unit. Really like it so far . I have the MOTU set at 96000 sample rate and 128 buffer , same for VAC 1. Its a lot easier to monitor my own voice now on Thetis for testing with so much less latency , some may even find it ok for QSO's too. https://...

Got this myself recently . I deleted the database (database.xml )in the thetis folder under App data then reinstalled Thetis using the last public release and then re imported my backup database . I also copied in Ramdors files as I'm not 100% sure they are incorporated into the latest public releas...

Re: WSJT-X FT8 signal images

Interesting, I see the ghosts both in power sdr and JTDX waterfall . I use Asio at 96000 sample rate . Must try a few different settings to see if it makes a difference. using NB definitely messes things up on strong signals . Glad you got your particular issue sorted out , food for thought, thanks.

Re: WSJT-X FT8 signal images

Perhaps that pic is not a great example Scott but the images I speak of are 100 hz apart usually. On the transmission in the pic you can see this on the jtdx waterfall which I'll post next time i see a clear example.

Gary I'd be interested to see your NB settings if you have time . I definitely see issues when I have to engage Nb/NB2. I know your are not supposed to on digital modes but its so noisy here I've no choice at times.

Just wondering why you would not just use the pre sonus on its own ? I use the behringer UMC 204HD with no other sound card.
