Re: CW Mode Operation

Prem In CW mode, the radio (if operating as designed) will only switch to transmit (MOX button illuminated) if the dot or dash key contact is closed (or if both are closed simultaneously. In iambic mode ... closing both the key contacts simultaneously will produce an output which is an alternating p...

Re: CW Mode Operation

Prem The data sheet for U25 is readily available on-line. The truth table is included in the data sheets. With both the dot and dash inputs in key up position (I.e. Not shorted to ground, and therefore both measuring 3.3V to ground), the dot and dash output pins should also bothmeasure 3.3V to groun...

Re: VAC SIGNAL NOT STEADY

All VAC1 + FT8 has been working flawlessly (no glitches on the waterfall, etc) for about 1 month now. I have installed the last several HPSDR updates without any problems. As I cycle through various bands and band segments... VAC1 automatically turns on or off... depending upon how I have set it for...

Doug

Thank you for the new release! In particular, thank you for the separate receive and transmit waterfall level settings.

Re: VAC SIGNAL NOT STEADY

Scott et. al An additional data point on this topic: When I use the main GUI to toggle VAC1 off and back on... I have to fiddle with the VAC1 settings to get VAC1 to recover the clean functioning it had before I turned VAC1 off and back on. BUT When I change band segments by clicking on (for example...

Re: PowerSDR mRX PS 3.4.6 Released

Scott On 40m, the feedback path loss is 50dBm - 6.5dBm = 43.5dB On 30m the feedback path loss is 50dBm - 9.5dBm = 40.5dB On 20m the feedback path loss is 50dBm - 13dBm= 37dB The coupler consists of a 20dB voltage divider followed by a second voltage divider consisting of: a 50 ohm resistor in series...

Re: PowerSDR mRX PS 3.4.6 Released

I have observed a minor problem with releases starting with 3.4.4... Transceiver: ANAN-10E Problem: On 40 meters When I activate "TUN" on the main HPSDR GUI, my separate RF output power meter reads 100W, the S-ATT auto setting is 20dB... and the panadapter display reads -5dBm . Note that I...

Re: VAC SIGNAL NOT STEADY

Update My ANAN-10E. has been working flawlessly for the least 5 days using VAC1 => a pair of input-to-output VB audio virtual audio cables=> WSJT-X. I can power-off HPSDR, and I have even sequentially installed the latest three HPSDR releases... without causing any instability problems Primary audio...

Re: PowerSDR mRX PS 3.4.6 Released

I would like to add my thanks to the entire team for all of the great work you do. Providing software, firmware, on-line support, and new releases for seven different ANAN-X platforms (not including various models of connected PCs and auxiliary applications) is a herculean task.

Happy Holidays!

Re: VAC SIGNAL NOT STEADY

Logically... I agree that if everything is working as it should, congestion-related problems with the Ethernet should affect both the VAC1 receive audio path and the non-VAC1 receive audio path simultaneously. I.e. both of these depend upon the same "Primary Audio" data stream... and (pres...

Re: VAC SIGNAL NOT STEADY

Scott et al. I'm still trying to determine what causes VAC1 to behave erratically (sometimes it works... and sometimes it doesn't) when I use VAC1, WSJT-X, and a pair of virtual cables from VB Audio to interconnect them. I.e. when either the pair of virtual cables that are those that are part of VMB...

Re: VAC SIGNAL NOT STEADY

Scott et. al Somehow. VAC is now working with WSJT-X and VMB (i.e. very few glitches on the transmit waterfall display). Everything is configured as before. However, I did switch back and forth between MME => ASIO => MME on the VAC1 driver settings.... and briefly tried transmitting with the VAC1 dr...

Re: VAC SIGNAL NOT STEADY

Scott I meant the software. Re: Input/Output Frequency shift with UPhoria 204HD

Here is an explanation of what I have observed... from a member of the WSJT-X design group. Stu " Hi Stu, the logical start of a transmitted codeword is a t=1s for all the slow modes except for FT8 where it is at t=0.5s. We reduced the start delay in FT8 to try and win back some thinking time a...

Re: Input/Output Frequency shift with UPhoria 204HD

Update: Out of curiosity, I tried two additional experiments 1. I measured the delay between the assertion by WSJT of the T/R CAT command (i.e. using the high-to-low transition of the impedance across the ANAN-10E T/R output port to trigger the oscilloscope) and the commencement of WSJT digital audi...

The large delay between the T/R line transition, from high to low, and the ...

Re: Input/Output Frequency shift with UPhoria 204HD

Thanks for the additional comments/thoughts

As you suspected, I am also using Meinberg to synchronize my computer's clock to UTC.

I also have the WSJT transmit delay set to 0.

Nothing additional to add for now.

Re: Input/Output Frequency shift with UPhoria 204HD

Scott As an experiment: Set your waterfall "high level" to +10dBm See if you observe a noticeable delay between the switch to transmit mode on the waterfall, and the appearance of the FT8 (or JT65) signal. Also, see if you notice any "glitches" on the transmitted waterfall trace....
