Re: Vac problem with windows creators update, creative soundcard solution.

The Creator's update was not kind to many sound drivers. A similar thing happened to me: in my case I had to reinstall Voicemeeter Banana.

Re: ADCs and DDCs vs. "Slices", "Receivers" and "VFOs"

Sadly, Hermann, there is currently no support for doing what you want, at least not in PowerSDR. The weak link is the software. The hardware supports it, and the firmware supports it, as discussed above. However, the available choices for software that also allow transmission do not at least as far ...

Yes, an additional SMA. J5 is the connector labeled "RX" on the rear panel. If you look through the 30 posts in that Yahoo thread, you'll find in one of them a block diagram that shows all of this quite clearly. Look for the post with the block diagram attached. The physical differences be...

Re: Digital, WSJT-X, VAC1/VAC2 and DXLab

Well, if you read it then you missed the part about how VAC1 only services RX1, and VAC2 only services RX2. So you can't use VAC2 to do anything but receive on digital, and you have to set up RX2 to do even that. I do exactly what you do, that is run fully virtualized audio for phone and digital, al...

Thierry,

I'm suggesting you put ferrites on the coaxial cable to minimize any currents on the shield and prevent their intrusion into the radio.

Their is no optimum timing, any timing should work fine in the absence of RFI.

Agreed, Chris. I've never had any problems myself, until recently, and never with any of your code.

Certainly the most important thing is for dev's to be comfortable and develop, so upon reflection I say use whatever makes you comfortable! The rest can all be fixed! :)

Re: Alarm SWR - No RX on OpenHpsdr 3.4.6 and / Firm 4.9 / ANAN 100D

With the timing change working, that seems to imply it could be RFI. If a high VSWR condition is normal for your antenna during tuning, you might try a few snap-on ferrites on the RF cable right where it comes into the radio.

Great stuff, guys! Interestingly, I've always disabled DC Block in Setup > DSP > AM/SAM as a matter of course, so never observed this problem, but didn't understand why until now. :)

The only issue with proceed with VS2017 is that beta testers may have trouble running the code without taking extra steps.

Re: Alarm SWR - No RX on OpenHpsdr 3.4.6 and / Firm 4.9 / ANAN 100D

It could be a bug. Or it could be a stuck relay.

Or it could be that, the relays being controlled by a pseudo-SPI bus, if there was EMI in the radio due to excessive reverse power, it's conceivable that the SPI bus could be interfered with in a way that prevented proper relay switching.

The 10, and the 10E, will not run PureSignal with an external feedback source without internal modifications. And, wow, for the first time I am going to actually point back from the forum here to a thread on the old Yahoo Group! https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/apache-labs/conversations/topics/25...

Loren, This is a PSDR (and possibly Windows) issue, not a hardware issue, so the thread is going back to the PowerSDR sub-forum. Yes, based on reports, the latest round of Protocol 1 firmware releases, intended to correct the RX5 issue, have all proven to appear to not make timing on the entire population of radios out there. It will work for some people, not for others. Joe's recommendation at this time is to use the latest ...

Re: Which Visual Studio version should I use?

The VC++ projects need to be built against Visual Studio 2013 (v120) and the C# against .NET Framework 4.0. Anything newer and backwards compatibility with previous versions of Windows is lost. This is per Doug, W5WC. I am not a programmer, so about all I can do is parrot what Doug has said in the p...

Re: 7000DLE Variable Output Power

Loren, A lot of things change with temperature in the openHPSDR and Apache Labs hardware designs. This is true of all of the various radio models, from the 10 to the 7000 and 8000, although it is more apparent in the 100W+ radios because, obviously, thermal states change much more significantly duri...
