Thetis Cannot Access 7000DLE MKII after Protocol 2 upgrade
I recently received my 7000DLE MKII and got it running with Thetis 2.8.11 with the 21k9 patch. All was well. Not being content to leave "good enough" alone, an upgrade to Protocol 2 was done using HPSDRBootloader v2.0.4.4. The program had no trouble contacting the radio to to do the progra...

Re: No Panadapter Display after 21k9 Update [SOLVED]
Hi Richie, Thank you so much for investigating this. Understanding the deficits in the Virtualbox 3D driver will help drive improvements in that area (i hope). For now, it looks like using a Win7 physical machine is my best choice. I can also use unpatched 2.8.11, but that is not a good path forward...

Re: No Panadapter Display after 21k9 Update
Hi Richie, Thanks for your reply. Yes, Guest Additions are enabled, using Safe Mode and the 3D extensions are installed. Many things in Virtualbox are labelled "experimental" but work just fine. That said, the primary difference between the Virtualbox VM dxdiag output is: AGP Texture Accel...

Re: No Panadapter Display after 21k9 Update
Hi, Thetis displays no errors - just a blank waterfall. Thanks for any help! Dale (W6EDT) As requested: ErrorLog.txt: (last entry) Entry : 4:57:25 PM Friday, March 25, 2022 HRESULT: [0x8899000C], Module: [SharpDX.Direct2D1], ApiCode: [D2DERR_RECREATE_TARGET/RecreateTarget], Message: Unknown --------...

No Panadapter Display after 21k9 Update
Hi, Thanks for all of the hard work on Thetis by everyone, especially MW0LGE. The waterfall display on the initial version of 2.8.11 worked fine with my new 7000DLE MKII, although it issued a warning about DirectX problems and noted thatit was going to use GDI+. However, when I loaded the update and...

Re: PowerSDR mRX 3.4.9 crashes on first time run [SOLVED]
Hi Tony, Thank you for all of your help. Sorry I misread your post. Thetis is now up and running and I can receive off air and transmit into a dummy load. Bottom line for anyone who reads this thread later - Don't bother with PowerSDR mRx. Just use Thetis . It does appear that one can set the IP of ...

Re: PowerSDR mRX 3.4.9 crashes on first time run
Hi, So just to confirm, I can use Thetis to change the IP of the 7000MKii to fixed IP, correct? As others have said, a Getting started guide would be quite helpful. I have been reading quite a bit, but the information is very disjoint and a lot of old posts that no longer apply. It is a little frust...

Re: PowerSDR mRX 3.4.9 crashes on first time run
Hi Gary, Thanks for your reply. It was my impression that one had to use PowerSDR to do the initial radio setup and upgrade of the firmware to Protocol 2. I also understood that Thetis could not use Protocol 1, which I expect is what is in the radio now. Of course, since I can't talk to the radio, I...

PowerSDR mRX 3.4.9 crashes on first time run
Hi, After receiving a new 7000 DLE MKII and PowerSDR 3.4.9 on Win7, the clicking on the icon caused a "Allow this program" prompt. Next a PowerSDR window appeared and then was filled a few seconds later with what looks like a call stack trace that is somewhat obscured by the PowerSDR windo...
