Re: Thetis v2.8.11 - UPDATES and current issues
To Mark (K1LSB), Thanks for the explanation about how to use the bandstacking feature - very neat. It does restore the bandscope back to where it was but its not quite what I was thinking of. So if I tune near the band edge with CTUN on, the frequency will tune outside what I had set, upsetting the ...

Hi Mark,
Your solution for presetting the spectrum edges sounds interesting, please explain further, just so I don't get it wrong!
Thanks,
Andrew

Re: Thetis v2.8.11 - current issues
Hi Richie, Sigi mentioned a while back about bringing back the 'CTUN' scroll' checkbox so that the user can select whether to allow scrolling past the edge of the spectrum display in CTUN mode. I use CTUN a lot and take time to set it up to see exactly the spectrum I want and then in contests tune a...

Re: Thetis v2.8.11 - current issues
Hi Richie, Pleased to report that your fix for CTUN with cw and transverter mode appears to be working fine. Just finished my usual cw net and no complaints about me being off frequency!! I have also tested it in the same way I did before into a dummy load with another radio and the rx stays on the ...

Re: Thetis v2.8.11 - current issues
Yes, sorry, I missed your video, just watched it now. Just doing a bit more testing, it seems to transmit on the correct frequency, but not receive. So probably easier to notice if you can transmit between the two radios. The sdr here is a Hermes board. Attached a couple of pictures of a second radi...

Re: Thetis v2.8.11 - current issues
The comments from Yevgeni made me have a think.... I have checked further and found that actually it is occurring when using a transverter with details of LO and gain set in the 'XVTR' menu. I did not mention this in my original post as I did not realise it would make a difference, apologies I shoul...

Re: Thetis v2.8.11 - current issues
Hi Yevgeni,
Interesting that you do not see the problem of CTUN and cw mode. May I ask how you checked it please?
I had a second radio and both were connected to dummy loads so that I could transmit one to the other?
Thanks,
Andrew

Re: Thetis v2.8.11 - current issues
Hi Richie, I have spotted a problem with CTUN and cw modes. In cw mode you get a shift between tx and rx frequencies so that if you tune in to a station at a beat note of 800Hz and you have set the cw pitch frequency setting also to 800Hz, you will transmit with an 800Hz offset so the other station ...

Re: Thetis ctun odd behaviour going from tx to rx
Hi, Many thanks for the reply! Well here is a very strange thing. My observations were with DUP off. Switching DUP on seems to make CTUN behave as I would expect. So with DUP and CTUN on, off tuning on rx from centre, going to tx and back again retains the original spectrum range and the tx frequenc...

Thetis ctun odd behaviour going from tx to rx
Hi, Help appreciated please. I recently ungraded Thetis to v2.8.11 x64 from v2.6.7. When I enable ctun so the spectrum/waterfall is fixed, then tune off somewhere in the spectrum, then transmit, that new tx frequency becomes the new rx centre frequency when you go back to receive. With the old versi...
