Re: grounding both receivers when operating split
OK, a bit more detail. When transmitting on VFO B and listening on VFO A (and VFOB. Both receivers on) the display (set as panafall) for VFO A shows the xmit signal at a high level. However, I have these boxes checked under General RX2 Auto mute rx2 on tx auto mute rx1 on VFOB TX blank rx2 display o...

grounding both receivers when operating split
Operating an Anan 7000lde with Thetis. When I transmit split, the display shows a HUGE signal when transmitting. Much larger than when operating simplex. My question is, how do I assure that both receivers are grounded (i.e. not seeing the transmitted signal at their ADC) when operating split? Right...

To add another data point. Over the weekend I was using N1MM+ and Thetis. Had to edit a couple entries. Had no issues.
Glad it cleared up for you, Hope it doesn't re-occur.

Re: Thetis, and N1mm+ for DVK setup
Sorry for late reply. Just now saw your post. I needed to change N1MM+ to "PTT via radio command" under set up. Once I did that it worked well. Thought I could record messages using Voicemeeter through 7000 but couldn't get that to work so recorded through computer sound card. Later learne...

Re: Thetis, and N1mm+ for DVK setup
An update. Got it sort of working Had to record using computer sound card so mike plugged into the computer Playback through voicemeeter. Issue is that there is a delay, maybe a half or full second, from time message starts playing to it being sent from the radio. The first part of the message is lo...

Re: Thetis, and N1mm+ for DVK setup
I am having a similar problem. I'm using Voicemeeter for VAC and, under N1MM+, have chosen so1v/so2v single soundcard and voicemeeter input for the N1MM+ set up. I've also checked internal radio codec (have tried with it both checked and not checked). In Thetis have enabled VAC1 and set sample rate ...

Another update on sequence errors and audio glitches. A while back I upgraded my computer to a gen 4 or 5 I7 processor. eliminated most issues but, when web pages were updated or accessed, still had some very short audio glitches. Not an issue except when contesting. Today I installed a SSD that I c...

Re: Behringer CMD Studio2A for VFO A or B freq control
UPDATE: Issue fixed Turns out you must load the driver (found here: https://archive.org/details/cmdstudio2aDriver) I initially thought the driver was only to have the Behringer Studio2A be recognized as a sound card but apparently that isn't the case. After loading the driver the wheels now act as t...

Re: Behringer CMD Studio2A for VFO A or B freq control
Gary, thanks. Appreciate the reply. Which software are you using, Thetis or PowerSDR? I'm using Thetis which may be the issue. Other information When running the diagnostic capability under midi setup the right large wheel returns data 41 when clockwise and 3F when ccw. Wonder if yours does the same...

Behringer CMD Studio2A for VFO A or B freq control
Anyone gotten one of these to work assigning the large wheels to VFO A or B for frequency changes? I've tried and it doesn't work correctly.
All the other controls, except the pitch blend controls, work fine.
My other midi controller, the DJ Control Compact, works great.
Thanks
Ron

Recording off air and saving to a wav file
Is there a way to record a signal off the air and then save that to a place where it can then be sent, say via email, to another ham? I know you can record and play back over the air but I've not been able to find where that file is saved and if its accessible. Similar question. Is there a way to re...

automating Diversity
There is a group of German hams who modified Thetis to automate the Diversity function to find the best settings of gain and phase to reduce noise. Their code is written for the Red Pitaya and doesn't seem to apply to any of the Anan radios. I thought I'd compare their code to Thetis to determine ho...

Indeed I was missing the C++ module in visual studios. Re: Changing code for features you want
Bryan no, can't even do that which is why I think I'm missing a module in VS. The VCTool... error has been a constant.
Am going to continue to see if I can find the answer on the web. Or here.
Thanks

Joe and Scott excellent. So far I've been unsuccessful in getting a build to complete. Always fails. Pretty sure I am missing a module in Visual Studio. The error is VCTools. Wondering how many, if any, of you have made changes to Thetis to implement changes you want and kept the code local (i.e. not published it to github)? Re: Thetis 2.8.11 Released!
BUG REPORT for Thetis 2.8.11 It appears that, with both receivers on and SD engaged, RX2 is being tuned to 0 hz which is why, when I reported this earlier, I was seeing a spike on the panadapter and why, when tuning, the spike never changed locations. This is only for RX2 and only in stereo diversit...

Re: RX2 issue
An update. Shortly after I wrote my post I went back to Thetis. Noticed I had stereo diversity turned on (the "SD" button below panafall for RX2). I turned that off and the signal went away and now I can receive signals via the antenna. This seems like a software bug to me. Thanks Ron N4XD
RX2 issue
Don't know if this is a hardware or software issue. Turned radio on yesterday and had no external signals on RX2. Did have a constant spike, even with no antenna connected. It doesn't change as the radio is tuned. I.E. Its in approximately the center of the panadapter and, as you tune it stays there...

Will post an update when I have it.

Re: RX2 not same signal level as RX1
I did find an old HP sig gen to use. For the same level of receive signal (I arbitrarily chose S5) it took a -90dbm signal into ant 1 for rx1 to get the S5 receive signal. For RX2 it took -40dbm so obviously there is an issue somewhere with RX2. Any help troubleshooting this will be greatly apprecia...

Re: RX2 not same signal level as RX1
All good questions. I have swapped cables and no change. I.E. not a cable problem. I split the signal using a bnc T. Not ideal but for this, fine since its not a permanent set up. No, don't have a sig gen but there were a few very loud signals on the band so the difference was easy to see. Wondering...

RX2 not same signal level as RX1
Setup Anan 7000dle Mk2 Thetis V 2.8.9 64 bit Antenna: a receive array. For this test the receive antenna output is sent to both RX1 and RX2. RX1 uses ant 2 input (and is set up in the antenna page) and the antenna for RX2 is connected to the Anan RX2 jack on the back. I've checked and double checked...
